See, now I hate the fact I live in a country that never has video game shows about.

The general fascination with female-masturbation in this thread is just plain funny.

Anyway, I suppose it makes sense for them to have an interest in the games. I suppose it's a damn-sight more fun for the booth-babes as well, considering their job is to "sit here and look pretty" for about three hours. Might as well enjoy the show too.

EDIT- Also;

I hope it's not games like Cooking Mama...
Shame I'm not a size 8 blond in America, eh?
Size 8? The current standard for models is size 2, preferably size 0.

While I think having booth babes that actually know and understand games is wonderful, any girl hoping to "get into the industry" this way may want to think twice. It's very hard to unring the "look at my boobs" bell.

uk dress sizes 6,8,10,12

is what emi meant =3 don't know how it translates to American sizes though T_T
I hate to disagree Susan, but I think if you'll do a quick search, you'll find that recently, the preferences of the American male are more towards women who do not resemble coat-racks these days... and of course, it's only a matter of time until marketing trends catch up.

Personally, I prefer women who have a bit of muscle... which is exactly why I married an ex-gymnast! ;)
Modelling isn't about attracting anyone, for the most part. Usually it's about showing off clothes. Most modelling agencies just believe the clothes hang better on size-0 women. The women who have got the idea that size-0 is attractive are the one's who saw the models on stage at a fashion-show and thought that it was every man's attractive.

No-one, and I mean this, no-one finds size-0 attractive. It looks repulsive. Ask most guys, and curves are in. So are things that provide larger, but toned, thighs, such as gymnasts, ice-skaters, riders, yoga-ers, and that sort of thing.

It all depends on the kind of career you're going for. There's absolutely nothing wrong with playing your boob card, so to speak, you just have to be aware of what long-term effects that might have.
Reading this out of context, it almost sounds as though you're talking about a girl who just got out of the porn industry with a speciality in midjet scatophilia. Unless she makes the social faux pas of going "Ernest who?" I'm having a hard time thinking they'll be branded for life. From what I'm seeing on the website, they're not dressed in such a scandalous manner, most of them are student, so I'm gessing they though it'd be a nice way to get into events they'd never be able to attend otherwise.

Heck, I'll give it a try, who knows? (I'm not blond, I'm definatly not size 0, I don't have big breast and I'm kinda short... I'll let you know how it goes if you ever want to try your luck :p )
The bottom line still is that compagnies will see a portfolio before they see a face, and that's just how I like it...Doesn't meen I wouldn't like to sneak in E3 next year :p

I like that the agency is attempting to elevate the role of the booth model to company spokesperson. Some of the other industries can take a cue, like the auto industry. Ask a car model something that is not on their script, and you just get a blank stare.
