meant to type hate all politics, it was late when I wrote that onehanded barely paying attentionDid you get so angry that you stroked out?
It's still insane to do this stuff in the wake of someone like Kirk getting killed for his speech which someone disliked. It's like I dunno, honoring Michael Jackson's legacy by outlawing the moonwalk. Totally antithetical to what he stood for. Of course I am not surprised by the authoritarians on the right doing this, but it's annoying that they're using the useful idiot lingo of the authoritarian left to do it cause I kept saying it would transpire thus when they were championing all the "words are violence" nonsense. The whole "hate speech" thing has already been decided constitutionally protected by the supreme court. Playing dumb over this isn't gonna work. The only illegal speech is specific direct threats of actual violence. Not slurs or jokes or crass laughter at someone's death. The proof of widespread evil is not the actions of the one man, it's the crowds cheering for it and then writing lists of people to get next. It's defacing a memorial stone of Kirk and Iryna to cheering crowds and saying on camera how your friends will love it. It's trying to falsely portray him as being on the right to throw up a smokescreen. It's being Destiny and calling for more violence to your audience of thousands.
I'd have a lot more sympathy if these people didn't write books like "the case against free speech" or say "no bad tactics, only bad targets".
Obama orchestrated the event where everyone dropped out when Bernie was leading in the first few primary states. They all dropped out and endorsed Biden so it wasn't a fair fight any longer. The normal procedure of the party is supposed to be to rally behind whoever it is that is winning the first few early states, but they upended it just this once through Obama's machinations and supported the one who was losing.Exactly - Biden is the real problem, and yet you're blaming a black guy. Could you make my point harder?
Your argument is shit on any number of levels.
VP is not a particularly strong office to run for election: statistically, most VPs became president because the president died or retired mid-term. Where VPs had to become a president through election, more have failed than succeeded, so it's far from the anointment to greatness you think.
Secondly, it seems faintly absurd to blame Obama when Biden had to win a full Democratic primary and election campaign. He had to do this on his own merits. Being VP certainly would have increased his brand recognition, but he was an ambitious man (he'd run for president twice before), had a strong political background as senator and fit the party's desire for the most boringly moderate, common-talking, straight, white man they could find.
They'll find it, even if they have to create it first.Keyword is 'yet', they'll find it eventually. Maybe they'll find it in Valhalla. Not that it matters either way.![]()
'No evidence' found yet of ties between Charlie Kirk's shooting and left-wing groups, officials say
Three people familiar with the federal probe into Kirk’s assassination told NBC News that investigators have yet to find a link between the alleged shooter and left-wing groups.www.nbcnews.com
Maybe we'll get another batch of faked chats. They'll find it, even if they have to create it first.
Well, that's not quite true, is it? Sanders won a handful of small, white states and then got his arse comprehensively handed to him in whichever of the Carolinas it was, where the black vote went for Biden very heavily. At this point, all the candidates except Biden and Sanders knew it wasn't going to be them, so they were going to drop out sooner or later.Obama orchestrated the event where everyone dropped out when Bernie was leading in the first few primary states. Republicans want to treat Kirk like MLK Jr., when Kirk called the Civil Rights Act a "huge mistake".Permanent signage is also required, describing Kirk as a "voice of a generation, modern civil rights leader, vocal Christian, martyr for truth and faith, and free speech advocate."
That's why it's oh so important for them that they spin, focus on and possibly fabricate evidence that the assassin had a trans partner.Might fit more in anti-woke, but since Kirk is the catalyst, putting it here

Did Trump even go?So Trump and that scumbag Vance spoke at the funeral right? Have they called for more divisions, or hostility against the left? Because I can't see them doing a message of unity.
And more to the point, if you are coming across that (whatever it is because the ignore function is a thing, but I can guess), what the fuck are you doing wrong with your life?... Where'd you come across that?
And to add to this point...it is perfectly OK, and even recommended by me personally, to just...take a break from the media. There's so much bad stuff going on, yes. Keeping yourself informed is important, yes. But flooding yourself with negativity is the best way to get burnt out and stressed out, thinking everything is terrible, nothing is good, and the world will collapse in 0.03 seconds. Things are definitely really bad, don't get me wrong. But there is a lot of value in just taking a break from trying to find every way that things are bad.And more to the point, if you are coming across that (whatever it is because the ignore function is a thing, but I can guess), what the fuck are you doing wrong with your life?

Look everyone, you need to look after your own minds: he who looks into the abyss, the abyss looks back into. Think of all those poor sods who did moderation for social media (before they were all fired) and the mental illnesses they developed from having to stare at the cesspits of human degeneracy all day.
If you spend your life looking at the worst junk and nonsense that Reddit, FKA Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and so on have to offer, so will you start to think like that, and what you will become. You will become a trivial, ridiculous troll swimming in your own foetid hate and frustration, who believes conspiracy and rumour more readily than fact, and mistaking your ham-fisted rambling as genuine insight.
Dunno about Trump or Vance, but we got Miller. So Trump and that scumbag Vance spoke at the funeral right? Have they called for more divisions, or hostility against the left? Because I can't see them doing a message of unity.
When Hillary won those same states she was treated as the presumptive nominee and Bernie was told to fall in line behind her. It never actually mattered how white Iowa was back then and conventional wisdom always was that whoever won those states was gonna win everything and had a huge advantage that everyone else was supposed to support and not stand in the way of. People only started mentioning the demographics of those states in 2020 as an attack against Bernie’s base and as a form of identity politics.Well, that's not quite true, is it? Sanders won a handful of small, white states and then got his arse comprehensively handed to him in whichever of the Carolinas it was, where the black vote went for Biden very heavily. At this point, all the candidates except Biden and Sanders knew it wasn't going to be them, so they were going to drop out sooner or later.
The rest is simple through any sort of knowledge of the Democratic Party. The party machinery, its establishment, is viciously moderate and routinely blocks left wingers, and loves to manage everything from the behind the scenes. This is what it had been doing for years before the 2020 primaries, and it has continued doing since. Plus, virtually all the other candidates were moderates anyway (Warren, I guess, being more left than most) and surely weren't going to back Sanders. So of course it neatly tied up the primaries so Biden won. And I'm sure Obama had a hand in it, but let's not pretend Biden being arranged as winner wasn't where it always going to go.
2020 is perfectly understandable just through the modus operandi of the Democratic Party. No-one needs to manufacture some weird Obama conspiracy out of it.
You really can't, in this instance.(whatever it is because the ignore function is a thing, but I can guess)
