It's a shame really. Developers try so hard to make good, balanced games, and yet so often the player finds one weapon, attack, or strategy comes along that works so well it mights as well be a cheat code. Some times it's a glitch, sometimes it's an oversight, and maybe sometimes it on purpose. But my question is what are some of your favorite cop-out attacks?

Heres some to get us started:
The green chaser + lightning weapon in Gunstar Heroes for the Genesis(an enemy seeking laser that does massive damage)

E Honda's Hundred Hand Slap(just back 'em into a wall and watch the health gauge empty)

The Tentacle Whip from Prototype(can one-shot most enemies from a serious distance)

UFC Undisputed 2010.

At the beginning of every fight, there's always a "touch of gloves" to show respect to your opponent. Me, my brothers, and all their Douchebag friends always use this moment to High kick our opponent in the face.

Which often cause flash knockouts with our maxed out Standing Kick offense skill.

Another head kicker in these forums, I do feel a pang of guilt but it is very effective. It is also the definition of cheap shot.

Theres also a punch that Drew Mcfedries (and I think Lyoto Machida) has, it looks like a superman punch but they don't lift there leg, they take a step forward, punch then step back (giving you more range for nothing) and if you make it a counter it causes serious damage.

From classic WoW it's a tie between prep rogue stunlocks and ToEP AP PoM pyro.

I guess I'll have to give it to the rogues, because their cheese actually involved a move called "Cheap Shot".

Snes' Separation Anxiety. Forming a web shield made you invulnerable and damaged enemies, so basically God mode.

Counters in Assasin's Creed 2. Why bother using anything else?
Not much else honestly. I mean the game is based on you kicking ass all the time. Even when you go for combos and disarms its so hard for them to hit you while you move, and fairly rare for them to break a block.

Pretty much all the Kusagari Skills from Red Steel 2 (Especially The Tiger, as mentioned by Yahtzee)

The Helm Splitter from Twilight Princess

That "A-blink" from Wind Waker whenever someone attacks you.

The Great Fairy Sword from Soul Calibur 2 (Gamecube version, of course)

Bahaha. Whining about noob tubes and.. E Honda's hundred hand slap! Haha!

Oh I can sense the nerd rage from here!

How about some TRUE cheap shots, like GLITCHING in MW2.
Except were not talking about glitching, were talking about legit things in games that are overpowered.

The combination of the marathon, lightweight, and commando perks, with a tacknife equipped handgun in modern warfare 2, as a host, with everyone else in the game lagging.

Seriously, this combination isn't even fair, you can lag stab people from 20 feet away, and survive any number of bullets/shotgun blasts, and explosions.

Such cheap bullshit.
That's nothing compared to going up against Noobtube/OMA/Danger Close. I love MW2 but I frigging hate the noobtube. Why IW didn't cancel out perk 1 when you have the noobtube is beyond me. They did it in the first game.

Akimbo Model 1887, now hand over that cookie XD

If you want a universal one, the corner.
Step 1: wave at an enemy
Step 2: run out of sight around a corner
Step 3: Wait for person to round the corner and kill
Step 4: Rinse and repeat.
This has worked for me both due to single player lack of good A.I. and live multilayer lack of actual intelligence.

If you want a specific, blue shell. #&$@ shell shows up to ruin your day.

K.
Read all of the other posts though, your the only person to mention glitching.

Correction, were all mentioning glitching. MW2 has already been mentioned.
