Yes, very very much so. Commando/ teleportation pro will always screw you over.

Counters in Assasin's Creed 2. Why bother using anything else?
To be fair, there are some melee attacks that cannot be countered. But as a general rule, the counter is a bit too good. Still, in the first game, the counter was even more ridiculously overpowered.

Random Crits in Team Fortress 2. I do not see why anyone likes them. There are the people that say "omg but they are so cool and its fun to get them"...

No it's not, it's a no-skill cheap-kill.

That's called a "propipe"...just kidding. I think the knife is overpowered as well. Other than that, I don't know..."Dead Eye" in "Red Dead Redemption" kinda turns the game in to a timed point and click adventure if used too often.

If you want a universal one, the corner.
Step 1: wave at an enemy
Step 2: run out of sight around a corner
Step 3: Wait for person to round the corner and kill
Step 4: Rinse and repeat.
This has worked for me both due to single player lack of good A.I. and live multilayer lack of actual intelligence.

If you want a specific, blue shell. #&$@ shell shows up to ruin your day.
And this is a good time to use the "propipe" (aka "noob tube"...I only use it on occasions such as this). You think you outsmarted me? Well, I shall congratulate your clever thinking with this gift: a grenade!

Lol. This technique is so common it actually has a real name. I've often heard this method called "pulling" by other players, especially in rpg circles.

Bahaha. Whining about noob tubes and.. E Honda's hundred hand slap! Haha!

Oh I can sense the nerd rage from here!

How about some TRUE cheap shots, like GLITCHING in MW2.
Except were not talking about glitching, were talking about legit things in games that are overpowered.
Really?

OP said:
Some times it's a glitch, sometimes it's an oversight, and maybe sometimes it on purpose.
K.
Read all of the other posts though, your the only person to mention glitching.

Correction, were all mentioning glitching. MW2 has already been mentioned.
As the OP I feel it's my job to settle this dispute,(lol), and I feel like glitches do count. I mean, taking out another player with a glitch is DEFINATLY a cheap shot, which is what this thread is all about. Besides, I DID mention the Hundred Hand Slap, which is probably only as effective as it is due to a glitch. So there.

Golden Sun. I found a technique for Garret called "helm splitter". Basicaly it kills any enemy in one hit, while forfeiting any experience you would have gotten from the fight. You can even kill the final boss with it.

Fallout 3 -> Firelance -> alien power cell glitch -> WIN!!!
I'm not aware of this one...

As for fallout 3, for the first few levels, just pile EVERYTHING into small guns and from level 5-on you can dominate all enemies.

As for other games: Ness in Super Smash brothers, Shiek in Melee, Meta Knight in Brawl. And frankly, the smash ball in brawl, and the home run bat in any of them.

Oh, and straight block in tetris and the queen in chess. You know, they should really patch those! (sarcasm)

The Tentacle Whip from Prototype(can one-shot most enemies from a serious distance)
I have actually found this to be quite useless until the second to last boss in that game.

I have a couple of Pokemon that I use solely for cheap shots. Persian with Fake Out, Technician, and Life Orb can sometimes take out half of the opponent's HP with the first hit, and they can't hit back. In a double battle, I combo it with Zangoose that knows only Swords Dance and Last Resort.

Also, I haven't used this double-battle strategy because it's too dickish, but it's possible to use Electrode with Choice Band, Hasty, Explosion, and max Attack and Speed EVs to take out everything on the first turn. If your other opener is Ghost-type, it take no damage from the Explosion. You can even have it use a stat-boosting move to become almost unstoppable.

Oh, and in Fallout 3, you can one-shot anything, even a Super Mutant Behemoth, with the right perks and weapon. 100 in Small Guns and Repair, Better Criticals, Ghoul Ecology, Bloody Mess, and the Terrible Shotgun make it literally laughable. I think you can achieve nearly 3000 armour-piercing damage, and the toughest enemies in the game have 2000 health.

Dynamite in RDR

and this delightful tactic in Men Of War where the German team Spam 20 Tigers and rush the spawn.
Germans? Tigers? What is this game again?

Anyway, tanks in BFBC2. My problem is that one person can use one, but you need a bunch to kill one.

In real life it takes three people to man a tank, and that would be balanced as it would take teamwork and dedication.

You forgot Ike in Brawl, and Falco in Melee.

The machine gun in Mafia. You could use it as a single-shot, hyper accurate rifle you could fire about 2-3 times per second. End boss dead in 15 seconds if you kept headshotting him with it, his recovery time was even longer than the time between shots. And since it's a machine gun, no worries about ammo whatsoever.

Kotor 2's ultimate evil power - Force Crush, once you get this, especially as a jedi consular you can kill off the final bosses by spamming this attack as they get no chance to fight back

Bad Company 2. Carl Gustav Launcher, AN94 (not so much though, but all other assault rifles just suck) and any shotgun.

I just love it when you look at the patch notes and go "Aah, that looks really retarded, like they haven't really tested it yet" and then find out you're right... they haven't tested it.
