it isn't acctually a hack because it is an inherent flaw designed inside each of these games which could easily be corrected if the weapon limitations where designed correctly. they are exploiting this flaw... but because it is an exploit, all players have access to it.

all controllers are capable of this 'rapid fire' capability and one can do it by not even really modding a controller, but learning how to do it...

the flaw is semi-automatic weapons are not limited in their rate of fire.

unlike automatic weapons which says specifically that the weapon has a RoF of 600 or 900, and no matter how frequently you pull the trigger you'll never exceed these limitations, pistols and other semi autos in game lack a RoF limitation. it will fire of how ever fast you can pull the trigger. if you can pull the trigger at 2000 times per minute, the weapon will fire at 2000 rounds per minute... and this isn't acctually humanly impossible, because you are pressing the trigger at 33 times a second. well with in the limitations of both the controller and your body if using certian methods, and quiet a few people can achieve that for a few seconds... example Metal Gear Solid torture scene, keeping snake at full health...

they are not cheating.
they are not hacking.
they are using a mechanic which exists in game to their advantage.

and weither or not this is exploiting is arguable really.
if it was an unintended flaw, then they should of corrected it long ago. this problem still exists in games like Counter Strike, Call of Duty 4, half life 2, and damn near every other FPS with a pea shooter pistol.
He's right. I do that myself with the Desert Eagle and the G3 assult rifle in COD4; the only drawback is that it F***s up your accuracy so you have to be pretty damn close to your intened victim.

Hopefully Microsoft can find a way to rid the game of the cheaters. Maybe they can make another controler with different controls but similar. Or they can put another Control on the game specifically for the turbo button.

Never accept them, they are just scammer attempting to steal your account / credit card information. You'll also find they tend to focus on well known glitches ("I'll get your rank up really high" or tell you sites on which you can earn Microsoft points) they are all fake - just don't fall for them, don't even acknowledge them.

Yes, he was cheating.
Yes, it was a modded controller.
Yes, this person was OBVIOUSLY MLG Pro.
Yes, this is the reason why I quit CoD4.
Yes, you should report him.
No, you shouldn't ever accept anyone's invite to get you all the achievements, etc.
Yes, cheating is very widespread, or maybe that's just Call of Duty 4.

It's called a turbo controller.
You can get them third party, and they offer a 'turbo' option for the buttons.
It isn't a glitch.
It's a douche-bag who can't play properly.
AHa... good to know I wasn't imagining things then.

What a stupid unfulfilling way to play.
Yes, there are no depths people won't sink to just to be the WINNAR in online matches. As if a victory has any value when it's achieved by means of cheats, glitches or hacks..
Fuck that, I'd rather lose 50 games than win even one by being a cheating fuck.

I don't even like using cheats in single player games, feel like I'm achieving nothing.

I can fire the deagle like an smg... really not that hard to do with any semi auto weapon. Just learn where the activation point on the trigger is and "hover" it around that spot. People claim cheating with the G3 and M14/21 but really some are just that fast.

depends on the game i know some cheat programs for CSS (aka god of fps's) that have a function that is 1 click and it auto empties the clip of your gun in about a second, or could have been a auto clicking program so for every 1 click he made it registered 3 or sumin

Dont suppose you know one for PC do you? a few friends and I are having a Revolver (or Weebly) fight tomorrow on CoD2 and we each can use 1 form of hack, so i went hunting for a Turbo shot. Plus someone on our server was using it with a Semi-Auto Rifle which is freaking insane to stop or dodge.

plus i feel like being a twat on single player.

I find it hilarious that people think i have a modded controller i just have the quickest fingures in Ireland as when i shoot at a target in COD with a pistol or a semi auto rifle i shoot practically automatic i also beleive anyone who cheats in Multiplayer should be castrated.

At least in MGS 3, just hold down one or both of the l1/r1 triggers...

I did that on accident at first, and only realised you could be hurt until my second playthrough.

Still, I want to know why it hasn't been fixed...

Indeed. Same here. I usually try to 'earn' the right to cheat in single player by completing the game without cheats first.

sounds like a modded controller... but it could have just been someone who played prince of persia four too much. U have to mash the buttons at the speed of light on that game.

Listen to this guy and NEVER EVER hand out your account info to ANYBODY except maybe family members. Otherwise you're asking for what happens.

This vexes me greatly. Modding your contoller so you can get a few more kills? Wow, that sure takes some skill on your part buddy. Then again, if they can't aim it's all good.

Yeah, I guess once you've escaped 50 plus annoying police chases you've earned the right to go on rampages with no wanted level :)

Allow me to quote Colonel Hoffman from "Gears of War":

"I am disgusted."

Seriously - people who feel the need to go to such lengths to win in multiplayer games should just do us all a favour, and jump off a bridge.
