2 Guys at my school cheated in a GCSE exam... they were kicked out the school, and were disqualified from all of there GCSEs. They ended up having to go to a different school to repeat there GCSEs (Well, one did, the other went straight into work and last I heard ended up joining the RAF or something)
Basicly, don't cheat, not worth it, etc, etc.
Oh and for coursework, tutors will know if you cheat, my housemate got done for collusion, along with 5 of his mates (out of 7 of them that did it, so one was smart enough to edit his sufficiently). None of them got kicked out of uni, but they all had to repeat that module the following year. (Funnily enough, this freind of my mine is now in the 5th year of his 3 year degree!)

I cheated once, when I forgot I had a German test and didn't study for it like I usually do. Simply wrote down the answers lightly on my desk. Otherwise, I never cheat.

Not that I'm familiar with the UK tests, being that I'm from Canada but even with a bachelor's degree I never attempted to cheat on any test. I only know one person who ever tried cheating on a test and was kicked form school and lost his tuition, and cost for the text books etc. Plagiarism is also technically cheating and there is 0 tolerance for that in most schools.
If you find it necessary to cheat then drop out and go work at a convenience store or something.

Seriously, study. I've just had my mocks and there're 3 things I can tell you:
1. There is too much that could be in the test for you to ever possibly cheat.
2. It's almost impossible to cheat anyway, haven't you seen the rules?
3. It's simply not worth it in the long term or the real thing.
If you cheat, you will be disqualified from every single exam with that exam board, be it AQA, Edexel, or Cambridge. That's potentially a lot of exams. They will also warn the other exam boards, who will likely disqualify you as well, and from all future exams.
If you get a bad grade, however, it's fine. You can just resit them later in life having learnt your lesson to work hard before. You'll get some flak from parents and teachers, but if you're not paying for school it's not much of an issue. If you are, well, tough shit.

come to my school, though i dont cheat and dont want to (even though i have no problem with the people that do), it would be piss easy with our invidualators (moderators, looker afterers, baby sitters what ever you want to call them) i have actualy been in a higher exam when the gal sitting infront of me turned around to her freind and said at normal voice level "what does ... mean" this is with the invidulator sitting 10 feet away in a dead scilent room but because she is so deaf and always is reading you can get away with anything, another favorite is writing down all the info you need (formula, techniques, ect() on a sheet of paper put iot in your back pocket and when the invidulator isnt looking pulling it out and just copy what you need, someimtes the simplist is the best
