Cheats in Games

Am I the only one that thinks that cheats should be in every game. Not just for the really impossible ones but to the add extra replayability in a game. Well I think it's a good idea.

Agreed i would never use cheats against other players but cheats in single player games are always fun

Cheats in some games are fun, playing GTA3 with flying cars was a good laugh.

Grand theft auto cheats are always a load of fun and the add a whole new level of gameplay, and the cheats on COD 4 rocked, especially slow mo, but in most genres they take all the fun out of playing.

Some don't include it for the achievements. Others, I guess it was for the way they were programmed, dunno.

It is at times fun, once you finish it like 5 times you kind of want to just have fun with it and decide going invincible and making their corpses blow up with an airgun.

Haven't used cheats for ages, sorta forgot about them. Most cheat websites are useless, and list things like hints and achievements

More cheats in single player, but please bring an end to cheats in multiplayer games, playing against cheaters sucks, and beeing accused of beeing a cheater for pwning a n00b with too much ego isn't funny after the first few times

Action Replays are amazing fun.

The cheats on these carts/CDs really add to the re-playability for me.

Not just by unlocking everything, but allowing you to do crazy things like the moon jump.

Grand Theft Auto's cheats are good since the game itself is comepletely useless. Adding the ability to fly in your car, get a tank, etc. was super fun!

Also, the cheats in Enter The Matrix were hella fun!

I'd honestly prefer that games not have cheats. Though I'm currently wishing I could get them to work on the Steam download of Far Cry 2, my farthest save game is worthless now since my character is stuck between an NPC and a fridge in the bar. I'd love to turn off clipping to just move away and be able to continue with that save game. Other than that, once I learn a cheat I'm often tempted to use it more often than not (like killall in oblivion, just to watch NPCs drop dead all around me.)

I definetely think that people should not be able to cheat in online games. However, I like being able to do cheats when I am playing by myself. It is also fun to use all sorts of cheats when I'm playing a private game with a couple of friends. I wish I knew how to mod games but alas...

I think a lot of games these days should utilize the dev console like Valve. But have it as an unlockable, after you beat the game.
