Okay, it's official.
Kickstarter is only being used as a piss-take and anything started on there is failed to crash and burn.

Curse of a "free market".

Analog in film: You can't get the Arthouse and blockbuster films without the incompetent exploitation films and knockoffs.

That said, I will personally torch anyone who puts money into this, because the Cheetahmen was the absolute worst fucking game ever made.

Yes. Worse than E.T. Worse than Superman 64.
At least those games didn't crash if you jumped too high.

Not necessarily trolling, but about half-sarcastic. I think it's rather amusing that this even exists and think it's a neat idea. If for no other reason than it's fixing a game that a surprising amount of people want to finish and doing so with what'll likely be a rather cheap NES cartridge. I also find it great how self-aware the game's chief creator is of the severity of shittiness he helped create, and how self-effacing the whole campaign is while also offering a remedy of sorts (short of making the game all over again) for those who felt cheated by the lack of a complete product. Maybe I'm just easily amused tho - Motherfuck! A squirrel!

Also, a Cheetahmen 3, if nothing else, would make me laugh my ass off. Not to mention at least being different.

This. The first game was a buggy, broken, horribly designed mess and the second, while never officially released, was no better.

This is dumb. I'm pretty sure there is already a romhack that fixed the game. That's something you can get for free.

I am definitely against this kickstarter... it just seems absolutely pointless.

I heard about this through this video.

It seems like James is all for this.

I personally wouldn't donate to this, but hey, more power to the guys who do.

Kickstarter for a game whose only claim to fame was how awful it was? Yeah, I'll skip this one.

Why would I want to fund a quick fix to a game that is broken BY DESIGN?! No amount of bug fixing is going to save this thing in 2012.

It also strikes me a little odd the Kickstarter goal is $65,000 for a NES cart.

Are people really clamouring to be able to beat Cheetahmen II? Really? it's hardly a cult classic, it's just broken and people probably only know about it because of AVGN

Seriously, why resurrect this "piece of fucking dog shit?" [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24sBGjAAWEY&feature=player_detailpage#t=49s] If the Nerd didn't review it, this would not exist, let alone anyone care for this broken game.

There's a strong correlation between AVGN fans and people who blindly throw money at things. Just sayin'.

And I feel sorry for the people who actually backed this. Not because they lost money, they deserve that, but because they actually believed it deserved a donation.
