So I've taken a look at the new Pokemon game (and how could I not they're all over the place), and I have a question about one of the Pokemon.

Namely this one:

Does anyone know what animal it's based off of? The water starter is obviously a frog and the fire starter a fox. But this one just baffles me. My roomate says a groundhog but I'm not sure.

EDIT: Spoilered image because it looks bigger than I thought it would.

A hedgehog/porcupine with a chestnut.
Ches(chestnut)-pin(porcupine)
And the Japanese name (or at least I think it's the Japanese name, I don't know, I'm just quoting this) 'Harimaron' is a combination of 蝟 harinezumi (hedgehog), 針 hari (needle), and marron (French for chestnut).

It's a chestnut (CHES) + hedgehog (PIN). I'm surprised at how much I'm liking the grass and fire starters this generation. I hope they get some decent subtypes.

Also, is there any particular reason that you didn't just Google this? It's pretty trivial information.
