Cool to see how they do the opening crawl. In fact, they are all pretty cool.

Nice Hawaiian shirt, Mark.
I liked that as well, though it makes me wonder if for the prequels Lucas did the same thing for old times sake or made it CG.
Why would they need to make a CG Hawaiian shirt?

Seriously though, it was surely done with more modern methods for the prequels.

i dont know why but that picture of luke and grand moff tarkin smiling at each other weirds me out
That one weirded me out too. I think that one and the one with Harrison Ford holding the blaster are my favorites.

These are awesome, I'm surprised so much material is still coming forward from behind the scenes of these movies.

Does anybody know what the hell that thing is in picture 16. I don't remember anything in Jedi that looked like that.

Read the article, or scroll up and read the top post, or just read this:

"One interesting photo shows a man covered in lights from head to toe, who Mayhew calls "the glow monster." Apparently the Jabba's Palace scene from Return of the Jedi was supposed to feature some kind of luminescent creature, and the alien's body would be superimposed over the glowsuit guy to get the lighting right. It didn't make the final cut - and without knowing what the screen version would have looked like, that's either very disappointing or very wise."

From that description it seems like a good idea that it was cut. CG would have looked terrible back then and claymation would probably have too.

These pics are great, you can tell they had a fun time filming this movie. The whole series brings back great memories for me as a kid.
