So I don't know if anyone here watches MovieBob's Game Overthinker show but he recently said on there that maleable protagonists that you completely build (in games like Saints row or Grand Theft Auto or Skyrim or even Mass Effect) make games less worth while and artistic and I wanted your opinions on this. In my opinion this is completely wrong, it shows the players unique perspective, like a kind of reverse surrealist art, where the world is represents rational realism and the player provides the unconscious elements.
