Choose your race/class.

These threads are usually fun and straight forward enough, so might as well have one. It's a generic fantasy setting and you're a stalwart hero of the land, what is your race/class and culture, I guess.

Personally I usually play the generic gruff ranger type and the closest thing to a human I can play, so a Human if possible, and usually a Dwarf if not (because let's face it, Dwarves are just short Humans in the mountains/hills.) Culturally I usually pick whatever is the most connected to the story.

But seriously, I like being the party's Redshirt, so Human Warrior/Barbarian.

I usually pick whoever has the worst stereotypes going for them (Drow, Yuan-ti, Elves (in DA), Duergar, Demon) because I love freaking NPCs out. It doesn't help that I usually play evil.

Then go for a mage/thief sort. Agile enough to dodge blows while preparing a spell to wipe them out.

A human or Half elf suits me well.
Usually play a Knight, or a Fighter. On occasion, Ill be a cleric.

Mindset like that, only thing I'm good for is a barbarian. I'll pick an ork any day, or possibly a horribly mutated man burly and hairy enough to be considered a first-grade rug.

I like being the support character, plus I have a love for Dragons,
So I like to go (for some reason) Drow or Yuan-Ti Bard/Red Dragon Disciple (Only get to play NWN2 >.< No DnD players where I live)
And lately I've had a fascination for Doomguide, not sure why.
I like the whole idea of this stoic, quiet guy who's purpose is to simply put the undead back to rest.
