Chores - those tasks carried out every day to keep a household going (or neglected, to leave the household foundering in squalor). What chores do you not mind so much, or even enjoy? Which ones do you hate and often refuse to do?

I actually kind of enjoy mowing the lawn - it gets me outside in the nice weather, and I have a nice feeling of accomplishment when it's done. I don't mind washing dishes too badly.

I don't really like general cleaning, like vacuuming, sweeping, washing the floor or dusting - something about the minutia of it, having to work around all the furniture and random crap I have around, overwhelms me easily. I dislike doing laundry as well - I try to go for as long as I can without doing it, usually wearing the same outfit a couple days in a row at least.

I have to agree with what you said about dusting; it's painstaking to take care of every inch of every surface. I only do it because I hear some allergic reactions can stem from dust overload.

I'm not sure there's a chore I do like, or even do not mind. The one that would be the closest would be washing cars. It's not too labor-intensive, and it gets that set of wheels looking fresh.

I have actually gotten used to chores lately I used that age old making a game of it.

I use that whole "well if I don't do it then everything will smell" excuse.

Can't make a game outta laundry though...ugh

To be honest, there are non I particularly dislike above others. That said, I don't actually mind doing chores.

I don't think there are any chores I like. I don't hate most of them, but If I had the choice I wouldn't choose to do them.

However I really hate vacuuming. It's annyoign when you have to use the small vacuum to dig crumbs out of corners and then switch back to the large one for everything else. Plus I have a tendency to accidentally suck up something large into the vacuum. Then I smell burnt rubber.

I like hoovering, polishing and wiping town the tops.

I hate doing the dishes and the laundry because I have a massive phobia of touching other people's dirty plates and clothes.

I hate every shore that is going to be put on me, blegh.

- Mucking out calf stables (I am not a farmer and did not ask to be one)
- Mowing the lawn (there are more weeds than grass, and the earth around the grass is lower than the ground of the grass, causing the first circle to kick up lots of peddles and dust along with removing ALL the grass)
- Cleaning those tropical aquariums (when the idea of getting one came up, my answer was "no", yet I still had to clean them, then my sister bought another one...)
- Vacuum cleaning the upper floor (not really an excuse for that)
- Doing the dishes (no excuse either, it's either that or milking the cows)
- washing the cars (I'm the only one who doesn't use the cars, yet I'm the one who has to clean them... Then my father gets angry because it wasn't done properly after I cleaned it 5 times!)

Those are the most frequent shores, I always do them, mind you. If I would only be spoiled.

Walking the dogs is quite nice in good weather, got some nice scenery around here. Polishing things as well, cos then they're shiny and... alluring...

Not a big fan of hoovering or dusting, simply because they're so time consuming.

If cooking is considered a chore, then I like to do that. Mostly because I'm prety good at it and I like to eat good food.

I hate all other chores, cleaning being at the top of the "most hated" list.

The only things I like is walking my dog (maybe because she's old - but I do have to carry her down and UP a three stories tall building) and cooking with my mom. Because I make an awesome pizza/spaghetti sauce.

Also, I consider doing laundry (only hanging it on the strings, of course) relaxing.

I really hate all of the outside chores. Having the extra pale complexion, a sunburn is guaranteed when I walk out the door.

I like laundry because it smells so good! Anything where I can turn the volume to 11 and really rock out while cleaning is a good chore to me.

I'm kind of the opposite of original poster. I like cleaning stuff around my house but I completely hate mowing the lawn, hence why half of it is a jungle and the other half is a desert. Oi its a landscape art in progress! A progress that will never end as long as I hold the mystical cutting tools.
I don't know why but the damn feeling of cut grass, or even the smell, gives me a whole body itch that won't go away for a good while.

Washing pans if they've been standign for too long with burned food at the bottom.. sometimes i think a pick-axe would be the most effective way to get them clean.

Apart from that i don't mind it... it's more of a problem to get my ass up and start doing them than actually doing them

When I'm angry I like to handwash dishes. Otherwise, I love mowing the lawn and doing car work (oh wait thats not a chore darn it) Folding laundry is good for occupying my time. I hate emptying the dishwasher and actually putting my clothes through the washer and dryer. Cleaning my room is a big one I don't like either. Funny I'm 24 and still have chores. Darn living with my parents.....

I don't mind doing the laundry because it's so damn easy, and I only do my own. I hate sweeping/dusting because it's useless. I figure I either use the stuff enough that I shouldn't have much dust on it, or if there is a lot of dust on it I don't really need it and I get rid of it.
