Considering the dialogue in the first few games was horrendously hilarious, and the characters were extremely one dimensional, I'm sure nany performance he does as long as he's kickin' ass will do fine.

I mean, I hope he gets to say this:

Chris Redfield: You think that *this* is your saviour? You think that *this* *failure* is your *savior*? This is the *ultimate* *failure*!

People complained about not having Redfield in the movies? Really? I guess I'm the only one who didn't care.

Now
...There's someone I'd want to see naked in a movie.

wouldnt it be hilarious if they gave him a montage of chris redfield stomping on zombies and that was it? No character specific stuff, just gameplay. "This is your character. We want you to F*CK THEIR SH*T UP!!!!" and he was like "... k :D"

so what if he researched, doesnt mean his performance is any better for it...

although this is cool to see I will admit, I have been wanting to see chris... or leon for that matter.

Why are they even making these terrible movies anymore? Maybe they'd just be better with a different name.

I was a little surprised that a montage got a Kevin Butler reference but nothing from Team America, shame on you Escapist!

Luckily ottenni fixed that for you.

I remember how Sienna Guillory went to great lengths to ensure her character was accurate.

But she forgot, as Mr. Wentworth seems to have: this is the Alice Show. Nothing else matters.

Sadly.

Still, they're fine mindless actiony horror flicks, and what can we really expect from a series whose high point was arguably the one involving a giant sewer alligator.
You've put quite succintly why I hate this movie franchise to hell and back. Not that the source material is Shakespeare, but I like the original characters better, damnit!

Putting such a great effort into getting in the skin of such a bland character seems rather unnecessary, but anyway.
Possibly his greatest moment was his final battle against Huge Boulder :p

This is going to be so much fun. I can't wait for this movie. I enjoy them no matter what. I wonder if they'll bring in Jill, or at least mention her? Isn't Sheva in the trailer they had up earlier this year?

Maybe the next movie will have Leon. Yes, that would be awesome.

Had to put in my own views there. "Seriously, my dear, your dress can't even decide what color it wants to be. Why don't you just take it off and enjoy the breeze?"

But honestly, there's two things I see wrong here:

1) The character of Chris Redfield is already thinner than the skin on top of a two-hour-old pudding

2) Teflon would be jealous of the RE movies' inability to stick to the plot, feel or even logic of the games

I'm casting no aspersions upon Wentworth Miller- heck, I wouldn't be able to pick him out of a lineup if he mugged me; I have no idea who he is, really- but the material he's got to work with is paper-thin all around. I'd have advised him not to "act like Chris Redfield", but rather "act well, as the character of Chris Redfield".

If they even let him do that, since it might have gotten in the way of Milla Jovovich continuing to act out all her Action Grrl fantasies.

Why so damn excited about Chris Redfield?, he's the worst male protagonist in any RE game, why wouldn't they include Billy Cohen or Leon S. Kennedy?

If he does this: W.S. Anderson will have official made Chris more useful than Capcom did.

Anyways, as long as Leon isn't dead, he should be in the next one. As long as Chris never says "What is that?!" I won't walk out during the movie.

I think this is fitting.
Is it wrong that when I saw this news bit, I immediately thought of this song?...

I'm really glad that Wentworth Miller will be included in this new Resident Evil movie, since I'm a bit of a fan, and even more so because he seems to be doing a bit of research for his role. A montage is good, bu what he *really* should be doing is playing the games though! (I volunteer to help him through them) ;)

I have to admit, I laughed out loud in the theater when I saw they were actually adding Wesker and chris to the new movie XD Here's to a jock like actor playing a jock like character *thumbs up*

I've only seen the first movie, and seen Resident evil: remake, 0, and 5 but personally I think Miller should just watch a let's play to get a good idea of Chris XD

All I know is I need to see the movies so I can laugh at their fail. When will Mila Jonavitch finally do something different for once in her life?
