Regardless of whether you celebrate Xmas, just about everyone's got a day off today and no real expectations for doing anything aside from visiting family, so let's hear it:

What games did you get (or buy for yourself) for Christmas, and what are you going to be playing today (and, if you're in school, over Xmas/winter break)?

My haul:

- Fallout
- Fallout 2
- Fallout Tactics
- Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition
- Dawn of Discovery
- Tropico 3
- Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords (had the DS version, my ex-wife lost it on me!)
- Puzzle Quest: Galactrix
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (normally not one for Bioware games, but it was $5!)
- The Witcher Enhanced Edition Director's Cut

For those counting at home, that's ten games for under $150, and one hell of a Saturnalia gift to myself!

(edit: Oh yeah, and to answer my other question, I've been dividing my attention largely between Fallout 1 and Fallout 3.)

My Christmas Day Gaming plans are non-existent I'm afraid. I was given Dragon Age : Origins, Assassin's Creed 2 and Operation Flashpoint : Dragon Rising, alongside a new graphics card and RAM for my PC, a new HDD to my 360 and my brother got the Beatles : Rock Band.

But I'm not allowed to touch any of them.

Got DIRT 2, planning to get L4D2 and AC2. Maybe a few cheap PC games and a few PS2 games.
Been playing DIRT 2 all day, pretty much.

Not allowed to touch them? Why not?

My Dad is crazy religious and views Christmas as a time to pray and be Catholic. So we unwrap presents then tend to do nothing, or maybe play a board game or something since my Dad turns off our electricity so that we can't use anything electronic on a religious day.

PS : This morning he saw a Muslim on the way to a shop as we were going to Church and he actually said, "Muslim on Christmas Day.... Disgusting. Should be locked up...". That was freaky.

I've got the major releases of the holiday...I wanna go pick up The Saboteur for 360.
Beaten AC2. Love it oh so much.
Plans:
-Play some more DJ Hero(360)

-Progress more in the Uncharted 2 story.
Besides that, not much else. As I said, I've got pretty much everything else :p

Pajama Pants, A swiss army knife, body wash, a mug, toothpaste, and pellets.

Yeah I don't see gaming coming into the near future.

Eh...I don't hold it against religious folks who are religious on what's supposed to be one of their religion's holiest days. I'm very religious myself (though not Christian) and the gross overcommercialization of Christmas bugs me on some level---one should not profane one's gods that way.

But the thing with the Muslim guy---I mean, what was he supposed to be doing, building bombs in his basement or making plans to hijack airplanes? Bigoted assholes need to be locked up, preferably in mental institutions.

I bought my wife Dragon Age:Origins for the pc. She bought me the exact same thing. So we're trying to rig it up to play together. She made an Elf Mage I made a Dwarf (noble) Rogue. Good times will be had.

All day I've been switching between:
MW2 (PS3)
Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time (PS3)
DIRT 2 (PS3)
L4D2 (360)
Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3)
And Star Ocean: The Last Hope (360)

This is my formula for every christmas day every year, and it always rocks =D

I got the novelization of Assassin's Creed 2, and am planning on reading it, if that counts for anything

My rig is still dead and likely it will be FEB before I get a new one built... the old parts are doing well in my friends system so far so all good there, 1000$ or so in parts that please me by not being broken. So. No gaming for me, sadly, even if the few people who refuse to listen to my 'get me nothing' would get me games instead of bondage toys.

Still the day means squat to me so *Shrugs* I dislike the commercialisation of it to the point I have made people think I am a raving mad atheist that wants to kill Xmas. Not so, but damn it, why can't the day be kept to religion and not made a day to worship the all depressing dollar?
