So, my fellow escapists, November is upon us, and the inevitable christmas songs playing in all shopping malls are too.
Some might say this is too early. Some might say wait at least till december.
Some might bloody well know what to get their relatives already.
But not all of us. Some of us may have problems figuring out what to get their loved-ones or friends, and for people like them, like us, it's never too early.
Therefore, I create this thread upon which you may bestow all thy doubts in hopes that some creative soul may just come up with a solution to your predicament.
'And what do I get out of this?' I hear some of you ask, as you're brimming with ingenious suggestions for your fellow escapists. Well, someone might solve your problem, just like you solved someone else's!
And for the self-centered, yet indecisive ones among you (myself included), who like to indulge themselves during christmas as well, this thread is for you too!
I'll start off with my dad :
He's really into music. He's got 4 guitars, and countless accessories I couldn't even begin to name. Up until now, he's been the easy one : just get an album of one of his favorite bands. But somehow I feel like I want to gift him something more substantial, something that stands out from years upon years of CD's. He's also got this new hobby, being fold-able bikes, electric ones to be specific. He designs them all the time, and eats through drawing equipment like crazy, so I though maybe something down that line could work. He's also interested in CAD design, but he beat me to it and bought a CAD program already, however teaching himself to use it has been difficult. So, based on this information, if any of you could think of something great for him, do tell! I'm certainly not giving up trying to find a solution myself, but asking for help seems like a good move at this point.
Aaaand this is where the indecisive self centered part comes in.... I initially thought of getting a PS3, since now that the 4 is nearing launch, the 3's price may drop, but unfortunately here in Hungary those price drops were extremely minute, and another drop is forcasted for summer, so I'll wait. I've also thought about getting a new mouse and controller, but my current ones work.... mostly well for now. In previous years I usually got a special edition of some game, our just many games off the holiday sale on steam,but this year I'm looking for something more substantial, but still in keeping with gaming. Should I stick to the peripherals? Or do you guys have any suggestions?
I'll be monitoring this thread myself in case someone has a problem I might solve. I have a few suggestions up my sleeve too.
