I just finished a round of medieval 2 total war, playing as the French. Ironically enough, I was the major military power in the world. Until the pope, from a faction I am attacking, calls a crusade on Paris. Then the empire crumbles, and I lose.

What are some of your funny stories from civ-games?

Hearts Of Iron III.

The Germans in 1939 are arming up, they mass at Polands border, and when the time comes, they strike....

And get absolutely bulldozed by Poland, who proceeds in less than a month to annex all of Germany.

Poland becomes huge, get's cocky, takes on Russia (me), calls it's allied buddies.

3 years later, the entire US is under joint Soviet/Swedish/Brazilian control, the Soviets roll over Africa and India and the last Allied outpost is London.

Then I notice that I'm losing men, fast. China sneak attacks me and nukes me to kingdom come. I never got to see how the game ended.
Are you actually serious? Poland? USA attacked? What? I can easily roll through Poland with my eyes closed.

This game went a bit alternate history on me.

I have no idea how Germany lost. I see Poland getting their ass kicked, and Germany's at the gates of Warsaw. So far, so historical. I look back about a month later and Polands besieging Aachen!
Wow. I wish that would happen to me. Instead, I, because im too impatient, use cheats, and ALWAYS start World War 2 about 5 - 12 months early. It's quite easy. You don't even need to be any nation from the Axis, Allies or Comintern.

I am so going to buy this game now. It sounds too fun to not buy.

Anyway... any of the times when Ghandi declares war on you for not giving him technology on Civilisation Revolution.
In the end I just nuke one of his cities and steam-roll him...
Ah, that game is fun, but Hearts of Iron III sounds much better...

Just make sure you have a damn good computer.

And at least one military leader hat, like this!

I have a good computer, so that is no problem.
And I always did like Stalin's dress sense...
Although I prefer the plain grey outfits he wore...
[small]Because I also wear plain grey outfits most days now...[/small]
