well me and my friend just had a game of civ 4 on hot seat and it lasted for 17 hours but fuck me did it feel long. as we won it through space race and we were just sat there for the past 30 mins just turn spamming to get it completed.

in this game my most major achievement was to get a city that owned half of the world wonders and was lvl 27 (had 27 circles available) and also managed to create the second most powerful empire after me and my friends permanent alliance after i colonised a far away land but had to give it up due to maintanence costs since i expanded to quickly onto it.

so anyone else care to divulge how they finished a civ game and if they are looking forward to civ 5 and if you have already preordered it because i ceratainly have?

me and a friend coordinated our research and kept trading tech back and forth and got the space elevator before 1850.
it was fun.

A Civ game in multiplayer? Blasphemy!

As for Civ5, that one's on my back-burner. Might not get it until early next year. Patrician 4 was my September purchase, Fallout: New Vegas is getting my money in October, next Sims 3 x-pack in November, then...maybe Civ 5 in December if I don't spend that month's budget on Steam if they have another holiday sale like last year.

Well... in Civilization IV Abe Lincoln wanted to be my friend, then I nuked him.

And that was my favorite match that I can think of. It got a bit ugly after the nuking, but I came out victorious... ish. But it was probably the only match since my friend pressured me into buying the game and I just didn't find it to be the timesink people went on about. Then other games came into play and... well... yeah. I'll return to it, though, I promise.

Civilization V is looking good, but I may have to wait till I get a bit more cash in my pocket.
