Civilalization 5 help

Ok I have tried to google/bing this but got nothing. I love the game, but is there a way to make it so the game quits making you produce shit. I want to end my turn, I do not want to eyeball everything fucking upgrade ever. If I miss shit, it is my fault.

I'm fairly sure with most Civ games you can contact the city governor and automate production in a city. And there's also the skip turn button (at least, I think both of those are in 5).

But city management is one of the main reasons you'd be playing Civ in the first place...

I remember from when i started playing, it is not mentioned ever that the following is possible, and i found out via trial and error and a good portion of random button pressing.

Unless you are in the very starting era, scroll to the very bottom of the product list and tell the city to produce either

.)Wealth
.)Reasearch


The former just means you get gold every turn (Very usefull endgame)and the latter simply speeds up the time it takes research projects to take.

It might also be worth lookfing for "feedback" in the option menu as there might be a setting you can toggle on and off for this sort of thing.
