Classic Game Characters Run a Race

What about Sonic CD?

Bah! beat me to the punch.

However, if I remember correctly, that time travel is not based on his speed, but rather on his ability to collect certain stones. And from the way he managed to hold on to the chaos emeralds for no more than like a year or so, he probably lost those as well.

There were only two characters I didn't recognize at all, and one of those I should have. The first was the guy who turns into a samurai, which seems so familiar but yet I can't remember where from. The second is the little dude who gets squashed by the cow.

These guys definitely grew up with the same taste in games as I did though. I swore no one else knew about Cool Spot. The best licensed game based on a soda ever.

Quite worryingly, I think I can identify all of those characters barring 2 (maybe 3).

That said, they were all part of some awesome games so at least my youth wasn't entirely wasted!

Man, cool spot was probably my second favorite game on the genesis. That game was awesome.

Ahh, fair point! Though, I am almost positive that someone from Sega is lurking here and saw this. So, the next Sonic game will feature time travel in some form. I mean, they have to try everything before they kill the series, right?

but doesnt sonic know the move "Chaos Control" Which allows him to warp through time and space and didn't he already travel back to the past twice in the secret rings and the black knight?...Then again time travel is not exactly a move one really sees coming and he doesn't use use/abuse "Chaos Control" as much as his older counterpart shadow.

and he can go to next level too, but Hyper Sonic and the super charged chaos emeralds has yet to be seen outside sonic 3/knuckles.(They should really bring that back)

If there was dialogue in that video, I guarantee you that Sonic would of said "You too slow!" I was glad to see Sparker (mouse like creature in the blue armour) appearing in the video although he should of use his rocket boost since Sonic use his super form.

I actually missed some of the characters until I watched the video a few more times, so let's get a list going of everyone in the video and the game that introduced them.

Bah, they cheated. And what was samus doing running at the end? Everyone knows she goes way faster if she jumps and charges in mid-air. Plus it would have been more dramatic.

Nah it's just Marty and Doc cheated. See they took the longest time actually getting to the finish to get there first. Marty had to go to the future, get a sports guide and then travel to the precise moment with Doc just to reach the finish line.

EDIT: who was the woman in the white outfit running at 1:02?

That was Blaze from Streets of Rage 3 specifically, which in my opinion was the greatest side scrolling beat em up series of the past only aside from Final Fight.

The two characters that you didn't recognize were Kid Chameleon (and when he turned into the samurai he was in his Red Stealth form) and Alex Kid which was the best game that was ever based off of Rock Paper Scissors.

On Topic: Great video, It had quite a good collection of characters from different classic video game series and I loved the surprise ending with Marty McFly and the Doc, because the Delorean is just awesome in every way.
