Anybody have ideas for really great games that just are definitely worth getting but only as a rental?

That would be console titles with very short single-player (under 4 hours), little re-play value. Just a really good game for a one off, maybe rent again in the future but definitely get bored with quickly. Like a movie, maybe.

I'm thinking the likes of Time-Crisis series, and other co-op games you can play split-screen with your friends, not something you play steadily for several weeks.

-Point Blank (PS1)
-Time Crisis 1 & Project Titan (PS1)
-Time Crisis 2, 3 and Crisis Zone (PS2)
-Vampire Night (PS2)
-Silent scope (PS2)
-Alien Hominid (GC/PS2)
-Resident Evil Umbrella/Darksider Chronicles (wii)
-House of the Dead: overkill (Wii)
-Dead Space: Extraction (Wii)
-Time Crisis: Razing Storm (ps2)

The only thing I can think of is one of the Timesplitters games. The story isn't too lengthy and if you get bored of that you can always mess around in Arcade mode.

Vampire Night is an awsome game. Great rental, and a pretty good party game too. (Haven't seen this game mentioned anywhere else before, Kudos my friend)

The only games I ever rented were all pretty meh.

And by that, I mean:
-Madagascar
-Wallace and Grommit: Operation Zoo
-Call of Duty 2: Big Red One
-Medal of Honor: Vanguard

Yeah, I had pretty bad taste as a kid.
I got Gamefly for a while, and I'm thinking of restarting my subscription, now that nothing big is coming out.
