I'm surprised they haven't surfaced much, but ZZ Top. Check out La Grange, Sharp Dressed Man, and Tush.

Unless, of course, you don't like listening to someone who sounds like they have a sock in their throat.

Also, Rush: the immortal YYZ and Tom Sawyer, for starters. But also consider The Trees, Red Barchetta, The Camera Eye, Working Man, Limelight, and The Spirit of Radio.

For starters, of course.

Black strobe, the clash, CCR(Surprised by how many people recommended this, quite a good choice), Beat it - Michael Jackson I don't care if it's classic rock or not it's fucking awesome so just do it, ad a not so modern choice would be... The offspring. Just give them a listen, and i'm sure you'll be sucked in.

Sabbath, Zeppelin, AC/DC, everything the Beatles did after Rubber Soul, the Who, Hendrix...
But Rubber Soul is so awesome............... my inner Beatles fan calls blasphemy at this comment.
The album (and everything before it) is fine, I just personaly think their stuff got noticeably better with Revolver and kept improving for as long as they hid in the studio.

Right now im in a Paganini/Vivaldi phase lol. But a always for me is Floyd and Radiohead.
Good choices. If you really like Floyd you should listen to some ELP, similiar in some ways and they wrote some great songs too. You gotta hear Tarkus and Karn Evil 9.

Amazing how many people have mentioned Rush and not mentioned there most famous songs 2112 Overture and Xanadu.

If you're into metal look into Anvil.

Barely anyone knows about them and they used to tour as a headlining band with people like Status Quo, Def Leapoard and the like.
I've never heard them before, what songs would you recommend?
Their most popular song is probably metal on metal.

But I quite like blackwaxed.
Thanks for introducing me Anvil, I like both those songs you mentioned but I prefer Forged in Fire.

They sound like Judas Preist a bit but as long as the musics good, I don't really care.

Journey is a .....joke. All Classic rock lovers have 1-2 Journey songs lol. But GnR and AC(lightning Bolt)DC Were huge but when you pay attention to the music itself its not that good. And i stick by saying GnR only have 4 songs worth listening to.
If you are claiming to be a "classic rock lover" I'm fine with that.

If you are claiming to be an audiophile you had better call me in the office and we can discuss - I am one of the few people who can hear the difference between 320kb and 340kb audio rates, as well as having perfect hearing pitch.

I say this as background to what I am about to say to you:

You are wrong.

Apart from the grind and the 1812 trick with the cannons (both of which are intentional) there is nothing you can claim off as bad except for the occaisional poor recording studio problem.
