Why would you want to shave?! Grow a beard, invest in a decent trimmer and be a man, dammit!
I take a third option---my +1 Goatee of Manliness makes the ladies swoon, while my scruffy stubble doesn't qualify as a beard exactly but certainly ups the testosterone quotient of my looks.

As I age, I think more and more about shaving my head, buying a beret and a white shirt, and growing a walrus mustache.

This is good. Combining different facial hair styles is not only manly, but creative as well.

Take the mutton-stache for example. You get all the raw masculinity and undiluted awesome of mutton chops combined with the suave, stylish look of a mustache. It's facial hair every man should aspire to.

I don't really get the whole thing with strait razors. It was an interesting read though, and it's nice to see people enjoy something that's a pain in the ass for most people.

"At this point, you should have probably noticed that your brush smells like ass, this is normal."

That's classic.

Why, exactly, do we need this? I know it's off topic, but still.
If this thing doesn't crash and burn, I intend to make more on different lost arts.
Been shaving with a straight razor for a while now, it's better all-round and truly a lot more satisfying. Pretty good introduction, thanks for giving it some exposure.

Or, electric.

*Removes all stubble in 10 seconds*
Note the thread title: "Classy as Fuck". Electric is not classy, nor will it completely remove stubble.
I disagree. The electric shaver I have makes my face smooth. And how aren't they classy?

What 'man' has the time to fucking do all of that? My face doesn't have to be smooth as a baby's bum when I shave, just so long as it doesn't look as long it's fine. Plus I like having a beard and I don't want to shave it off completely so I use electric to keep it trim if it gets too long.

I approve of this OP. A real shave is incomparable to any other method. Once you go big, you'll never go back.

*strokes cheek* Aw yeah. That's nice.

I like this thread.

I will invest in a proper razor once I finish uni and need to look presentable.

At the moment however I use clippers to trim my chin and a 4 bladed razor with disposable head to shave my cheeks neck and mo. It's a gilette of some sort. Has a "Precision" blade on the back.

I look forward to more Classy as Fuck infothreads.
Good...good. I'm already planning new ones. I've got suits, alcohol and maybe ballistic gel?
That sounds like a plan.

I would like to start up with a straight razor, but my current state of dorm-living makes such a thing impractical. Perhaps when I get my own place...

That method is for pansies. Real men with honor shave with a sharpened katana, no warm water, no mirror, and no shaving cream. And a blindfold. And gloves.

Meh. I think you've wasted your time on something a person can learn in 15 minutes with an electric razor.

Besides, I'm fine with just spreading meat sauce on my facial hair and let wolves chew it off.

Sometimes a "manly beard" can go awry, as in the case of a Moustache of Failed Heterosexuality [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MoustacheOfFailedHeterosexuality]. One of my gym teachers had a handlebar that looked like something straight out of an 80's gay porn or The Village People. Didn't help that he was the wrestling coach, either.

I, for one, must applaud your noble efforts in reviving this lost art. Granted, I don't trust myself with a straight razor anywhere near my neck. So, for the time being, I'll stick to a disposable. It gets the job done when I need a clean shave.

Um... I vaguely understand what shaving is... it's that thing I do once a year or so that makes part of my face disappear.

But what the hell is this classy stuff?

Dude, AoM is quite possibly the most unintentionally gay site on the internet and should be avoided like the fucking plague.
