Today I was supposed to receive my brand new galaxy S3 mini instead I received a fully fledged S3, I am rather happy about this in fact I'm using it right now! So my question to you, what clerical errors have recently befallen you and how has it pleased or displeases you?

Well, there was one time one of them cast Speak With Dead instead of Raise Dead on our dead teammate, and let me tell you, we had quite a laugh over that one. Oops indeed!

And then there was that time I tried to turn a half-vampire. Silly me!

Wait.

OH. THOSE clerical errors.

Sorry, I got nothing.

I'm currently owed a shit ton of money from the army due to te act they have never updated my pay information when I completed courses since 2007.

I am both pleased and displeased by this. Pleased because I have a good, tax-free lump sum of cash coming. Displeased because I brought it to their attention in Sept 2011 and, after more clerical errors and general "I couldn't give a fuck about this"ness, the paperwork finally went in 6 weeks ago. I expect to see the money sometime in the next 7 to 10 years.

I was supposed to get a new camera since my old one was broken and the guarantee got me a new one, but I got a model that wasn't supposed to be available to consumers for four months at least.

Had 2 of these.

One was when I handed in my K-jam phone to get repaired (still had warranty) and for some reason I got back a JasJam, which was a few models up from mine.

That was pretty awesome.

And then there was when I was playing the MMO Tera when it was still a subscription game.

I bought it and paid the first month......and then, somehow, I didn't have to pay the subscription for a good 5 months.

Don't know what happened, but I got a free 4-5 months gameplay of Tera without having to pay.

I bought a new video card from Amazon recently, which turned up quickly, as did another one the very next day.

It's just a shame that my mobo doesn't support SLI, and my PSU isn't up to it anyway.

not really a clerical error, but bought Medieval 2 Total War by delivery.
after about a week of nothing, I heard it was delayed, and another week later I finally got it AS A COLLECTER'S EDITION, world map, music score, miniature knight and the friggin' expansion pack along with it.

that's one way to appolagise, I suppose.

I have 2 experiences. The first, last week I ordered Virtua Tennis on the Vita. It costs £5. I got a voucher specifically for people who spent £40 or more in one order. It gives me half price on all Pizza hut for a year.
The second, I couldn't afford a 1TB hard drive at 7200rpm from dino pc, it went just over budget. I settled for a 5400rpm drive instead.
I was delivered the 1TB 7200. I actually pointed this out to them and they emailed back to me saying they were very sorry but the 5400's were out of stock. They offered to trade, and that they'd pick up postage. Naturally, I let them get away with this particular mistake.

i have something to contribute for once! i work nights at a supermarket, and they had been calculating the store's holiday pay wrong for years, knocking about 15 minutes of pay off each holiday payment. however because they had no way to check who was entitled to what, they just gave out payments to people based on what they think they should have (based on number of hours worked a week and how long they'd been there). i was new to nights (2-3 months or so), but they rounded me up to 6 months as a minimum, and i got about £90 which i shouldn't have got ^-^

on the flipside, my girlfriend got underpaid, they put a decimal point in the wrong place, so for an overtime shift she got paid £11.40 rather than £114... she claimed that error back, naturally

Bloody employees. You all want the moon on a stick.

"ooooh, I completed a S24b sniper course which supplements my monthly earnings by an allowance of £83.35 (subject to NIC deductions at half the normal rate up to an upper limit of £374 per calendar month [varying on 1st April according to the Chancellors budget] but not subject to normal tax) and the idiots in payroll cocked it up because because I was attending an S88g radio communications course during which normal payments are suspended unless the attendee is absent for reasons of family leave or sickness."

"I mean, how hard can it be to add up a few numbers?"

Not recent, but my worst:

I never got University scholarships and was unable to register for courses when I was supposed to. Why? Because the University thought my application was a duplicate of my twin sister's. So they threw it out. When we called them on it, they just said it was simply too late to give me any scholarships and couldn't change my sign-up date for courses. So I was unable to register for most of the first-year courses I wanted as they'd already been filled. Which screws you for your whole university life, as second year students can't register for first year courses unless there are spaces left after all first years are done... and so on and so forth.

Still pissed about that. Except I did go to college and now work for the government making decent money, so, fuck you, University of Manitoba. You were worthless and are crap. And your campus smells. ... Really. I grew up a couple blocks away from it. And downwind from the agriculture buildings.
