What's the closest call or greatest comeback you've ever made or participated in during a match? It can be anything!
My closest call was in a Team Deathmatch way back on Modern Warfare 1. I was a sniper and we were playing on Pipeline. I spent my time on a hill, picking people off and changing positions to any of the three slim trees on that hill. I'm surprised it took so long for someone to come after me (one helicopter later).
So, an enemy sniper comes looking for me and I kill him. I reload and wait in place for five seconds, long enough for him to watch the killcam, and I crawl maybe five feet backwards. Sure enough, he comes along and circle strafes my last position. I aim up and kill him again, reload, wait, and crawl forward to hide under his body. Like clockwork, he runs over and searches the place I was just at. I kill him AGAIN, reload, and duck behind a low wall.
This time, he comes back and strafes where I was, so I pop up and fire. For some reason, I didn't kill him, and he knows where I am. My sniper rifle is useless at this point, so I switch to my USP .45 and aim. He pulls an RPG off his back and fires. By the grace of the Game Gods, the shell rockets past me and buries itself into the ground. As I pull the trigger, the explosion causes my crosshair to kick and I end the game with a headshot.
Never had such a perfect match ever again.
