Soon I will be going to college, where I will have to wear casual clothes everyday, but I'm having a real problem finding any clothes I like. Most girls walk into clothes shops and want everything, whereas I, as a guy, walk in to find myself extremely disappointed. My only solution is buying game related t-shirts but I don't want to give people the idea that I have no life outside of games. I am currently wearing a white button shirt with only the mandatory amount of buttons done up and black jeans. I would like more of this.

So, my question is, do you have this problem, do you know any good places to shop for men's clothing without stupid brands and fashion getting in the way and what would you wear if you could?

I, being a person that would like to look as if they're always slightly cosplaying, likes zippers and belts would probably like something mildly Devil May Cry like with a white button shirts, new black jeans (which btw are hard to find unless skinny and low riding), a waistcoat with a hood on it, and a long black coat. I like a mix of smart and casual looking.

I wear solid color shirts only for the most part. I don't really like clothes with anything on them.

I don't understand. I never will. Peolple seem to care about clothes but really I can't get into it. The only function they serve for me is to preserve my dignity and keep my dry/warm.

I just buy whatever as long as it looks alright, is on sale and fits.

Believe me, my female friends and I are walking, talking proof that most girls don't walk into clothes stores and want everything. I hate clothes shopping. My brother usually has to pick out stuff for me: otherwise, I'll never find anything I like.

On topic, though, I'd try whatever bigger department stores and malls are in your area, and just keep looking. Department-store-wise, you never know what you're going to find, and with malls, there are always small stores with fun clothes that you won't find anywhere else.

And, as a final note: you are my hero for wanting to look "Devil May Cry like." Good luck, and sorry I couldn't be more help.

This. Can't go wrong with two black, two blue, two green and a gray for laundry days.

I do most of my shopping online. I know my sizes, I know what I want to buy, and I know I don't want to deal with chatty sales associates or other customers.

:) thank you for that last note.
I have tried all places in my area. My mum is seriously considering taking me to a London shopping centre of over 2 and a half hundred clothes shops...oh joy.

Solid colours, preferably bright is always a good idea. That, jeans and decent trainers will pass for normal.

A beanie hat is usually alright too

I tend to wear cotton drill shirts, and cotton drill trousers, as made for tradesmen. They are comfortable, durable and fairly presentable.

I tend to wear whatever my mum buys me. I am completely apathetic to almost every article of clothing I see and so it's almost completely pointless for me to go clothes shopping.

I generally buy my t-shirts from one store... Practically the only store in Stockholm stocking rave clothing. And the good thing about it is that it doesn't look too bad wearing outside of a rave either.

Currently wearing this shirt for example:

Haha, you're welcome. Really, anyone who wants to look vaguely cosplay-ish kinda wins in my book, especially when they're also mentioning DMC. So really, best of luck. And if you find a good store, send the name my way. ^.^

That sounds... horrific. Ugh. I'd say to try and look for something you like online, but that's always sketchy. Unless you've shopped somewhere before, I doubt you'll know what size will fit you and all. A giant shopping trip might end up being your best option.

I find Route One and Urban Industry to be pretty good online clothes stores, I prefer buying clothes online because I'm lazy, and they seem to have jeans that look good and fit good, whereas shops I go to just don't. Plus, they have dope big as fuck DC hoodies that are fucking comfortable, seriously buy one. :p

As for what I would wear if I could, I'd wear a wife beater and some jogging pants, in public I'd look like a dick. At home though, hell no, I'm rocking wife beaters all day. In fact, if I could I'd just wear my fucking duvet, that thing is made out of condensed win.

Oh, and as for the DMC look, fucking go for it. There was a guy in my college that had a style like that, shit looked comfortable. I'd never wear it personally, though.
