COD 4 Issues

Ok, i just re-installed COD 4 on my laptop, and it worked on here before, with absolutely no problems, but this time around whenever i click on anything on the main menu, the music keeps playing, but the progrm itself freezes and become non-responsive. and help suggestions would be good

1.8GHz Core 2 Duo
nVidia 8400M GS
2 GB DDR2 RAM

(and yes, it worked quite well with the settings previously)

No error message or anything? I might suggest a patch, and if the problem persists, maybe try a reinstall. If after a reinstall it still has trouble then I have no idea.

Reinstall is always the first course of action.

nVidia 8400M GS - Update the drive, when and if you get into the game turn all your settings as low as possible. turn them up slowly a bit, but that graphicc card is on the low side so don't get carried away.

Also, do all the mundane maintenance on your laptop,I.E. disc cleanup, defrag. And maybe install a game booster, try Iobit.com, It'll help you turn off unneeded programs in the background.

yeah, uninstalling and then re installing seems to have done the job, cheers y'all
