COD 4 online play question

I've just recently started doing online multiplayer and I have a question. Is there a legitimate (non-glitch or code)way to get on top of the buildings in both Showdown and District? I haven't been playing long (just a few days, really) and have come across people up on top of building in those two levels. I don't want to sound like a poor sport or a whiner, or accuse people of cheating right off the bat, but I can't seem to find a ladder or staircase that leads up to the roof of those buildings. Though the fact that I'm in the middle of Free-for-all matches at the time might have something to do with it.

Both are glitches, and not legitimate ways of playing. There really aren't many maps where you get up on the roofs of buildings without a ladder or a staircase legitimately, and those two are both people exploiting the game.

I'm sorry you only just started playing though - it WAS an amazing game a few years back, but most of the community has moved on or stopped playing, and so now the whole game is nothing but cheaters and quickscopers.

Shame really.

How's the MW2 community? Populated by fair, honest people or infested with cheaters? I've got both games (and plan on getting MW3) so I can take either one online.

There isn't a single call of duty game that's populated by "fair and honest people."

Black Ops has the least amount of hackers and glitchers though.

Well, personally I think that CoD4 was by far the best CoD game, multiplayer included, partly because MW2 has been hacked and glitched beyond belief.

Its multiplayer was pretty poorly made, and has a large community = not such a fun experience.

Feel free to try it if you already own it, see which you prefer, I'm just saying that you shouldn't go into MW2 and expect a balanced or fair game to await you until you've at least learned to avoid the more common cheats.

The other poster is correct though - no CoD game has a nice community, and generally, Black Ops is better than MW2.

Good luck playing though, and I hope you do enjoy yourself, even if I didn't.
