I was diappointed by the lack of the S.A.S in Black Ops. Nothing beats hearing "Tango down!" in a English accent.
I concur, the SAS were easily the coolest thing about CoD4 and one of the best bits about MW2 (even though they technically they were transferred from the SAS at that point.)
I thought it was refreshing to be playing a military shooter as someone from my country and not be the guys that die at the end, with the Americans being ultimately triumphant.
You know what I liked about black ops? You got to actually kill SAS guys for the first time in CoD history.
The British commandoes in Reznov's flashback? Yeah, it felt really weird for me shooting British guys, but in a good way, like the story added an extra layer of depth because of it.

I imagine it was for as it was for me when I killed those shadow company guys at the end of MW2.

The Xbox 360 version accounted for 54% of all copies of Black Ops sold, with 40% of copies shipping on the PS3. Either that means that PC versions only made up a meager 6% of retail copies sold, or someone at the All Formats chart needs to read up on their mathematics.
Remember the game is on the Wii as well.

Sales are down 85% and theres already near a full row of pre-owned copies in my local Game and Gamestation. Not sure what to think of this, but it seems to point to the game is either being bad or just very short.

I'm seriously asking here, was it just the first week hype hype hype or did it just not meet expectations?
I'm not sure, but people don't buy CoD games for their length, although the campaign was a decent 9-10 hours. I can tell you now, the game isn't bad (its great in my opinion)

which recent COD is not short...
Aw man your totally missing the point, by giving you the multiplayer aspect of the game and making it as good as possible, the development team have allowed you to continue on the story of CoD Black Ops with your friends online an... im sorry I couldn't keep the marketing scam going.

I agree with you, the CoD games have been getting shorter and shorter in storylines (and worse) since CoD:MW1. Its getting too the point where I don't know if I'll even bother with BlOps because they have apparently just not tried from what I'm hearing...

The double rainbow... it's... beautiful...

What? Blacks Ops made money? Well I'm not really surprised.
I understand that Nuketown is a cliche(you know, nuketown, trinity avenue, 6066) but I don't get the double rainbow(or the jokes) could you explain.

BTW most Uk retailers are mainstream thickheads, and as such, do not see the pc as a proper gaming platform.

Yeah, Same!
"Tango spotted in section 1 Alpha!"
And if Price doesn't come back in Modern Warfare 3, Treyarch are patriots through and through.
But there was a WAW mission in Black ops where SAS invade.
