So, I decided to pick up a copy of CoD: MW2 for myself as a change of gaming pace as I don't actually own a realism-style FPS.

Anyone have some online dos/don'ts they can share about the MW2 community?
Or maybe some tips in general about the game? ^.^

I wish to avoid falling flat on my face if at all possible. =3

Trail and error is your friend, peoples styles differ, some are smart, some are damn right Ballsy Moronic.

The community has its upsides and downsides, if you played the Older CoD games on PC and such and are just starting to play the Series again prepare to be suprised, the Community and general feel of the game has change, for the worst in my opinion but perhaps im just nostalgic.

Keep you back always towards a spot you know some can't shoot you from like a wall, this game has a poor spawning system that means people can spawn behind you.

Keep moveing to avoid noob tubers and knifers.

Don't run out into open spots.

Also check corners for campers, a lot of people sit in the corner with a shotgun.

Aviod siting next to buddies since your likely to get stuck

Learn where people like to go, don't go there and aim there

My brother is amazing at COD and that is the advice he suggested me, I suck but I prefer none realistic games

Yeah, well the closest I have been to realistic is... Halo and L4D.

If you're good at aiming, I suggest you get a high powered assault rifle with FMJ and Stopping Power on your class, if you're better at CQC get an SMG with Ninja and Marathon to deliver quick death.

Unless you prefer sniping.

It all comes down to personal preferences, especially with weapons.

It's called a "propipe" not a "noob tube". JK. Yeah, I'll get flamed for that but it can be used intelligently instead of just shooting wildly. For example, if you know someone has a habit of hiding around corners and waiting for you to follow them so they can knife, why not just blow them away instead? Just saying...it makes sense.

Personally, I'd avoid the multiplayer on MW2. I tried it, and it's so bloody unbalanced. Also, alot of what I've heard from other people doesn't help it.

I just stick with the first Modern Warfare. In my opinion the multiplayer is way more fun.

Play Just Cause 2 for the amount of realism I like, it's just so much more fun being able to do whatever and not having to rely on earthly physics

It is pretty good, but extremely infuriating. In my opinion Bad Company 2 is a better realistic shooter.
