a have a question about the call of duty series. why is it that you can only use the default weapon classes in split-screen? why not custom classes to? i don't have online and it pisses me off a little bit that i can only use certain guns in multiplayer and i was wondering if there was any good reason for this.

My guess is so you and your friend are even when playing, I know in a LIVE match of World at War I destoryed my friend becauses mainly I had better guns. I think it is so it keeps it even and you need skill in the gun being used to really actually win.

They don't give custom classes in split screen because it's mostly to show off the perks, weapons, etc. They don't want one person with an M16 or P90 with stopping power running around, utterly destroying his friends who barely know the controls, let alone perks and guns.

It's for equality. Since when has a Guest Account had access to all weapons, perks, and upgrades? Seeing as they can't have them, the player account has been downgraded.

It would be fun (as someone who values splitscreen a lot) if you could make classes for use in splitscreen play, but it would take far too long to create them at the start of a match and it would be unfair if the owner made the classes.
