Just picked up this game guys and have a few questions for you about it.

My usual COD4 loadout is G36C with stopping power, bandolier & deep impact, or RPD with Grip, Stopping Power and Steady aim for smaller maps. Sometimes use MP5 or AK47.

As there is no Assault class and the first LMG you get is horrible and a ***** to use, I wanted to know:

1. Are there any SMGs or LMGs that would have a similar range and feel to the assault rifles from COD4?

2. The maps seem to be very large, are the SMGs as useful as in COD4?

3. Simple one: What are your preferred weapons/classes/perks?

Edit:

4: Map packs: worth getting?

3. Type 100 with scope, Betty's, Juggernaut and Martyrdom.

4. I thought so even if for the Nazi Zombies mode.

2.Yes once you get the Mp40 add stopping power and you'll never need another gun.
I mean it. It is just that overpowered.

1. The STG-40, although classified as a rifle,it is the only assault rifle in the game. They put it in rifles because they didn't want make an assault rifle category for one gun.

Go for the mosin nagant with stopping power and last stand. Use the iron sights. And perk one, i go with bandolier. If you canpull it off it works fantastically. I regularly get 40 kills a game with this setup. And i didnt see the point in buying the new maps. They dont add to the experience and zombies is overrated.

Yeah I think learning thirteen maps will keep me occupied for now anyway!

Really enjoying the mulitplayer, it feels less frantic and chaotic than COD4 but doedsn't have the same adrenalin rush for the most part.

As the others have been answered.
1.) Not really, I'd go for the bolt action rifles personally.
4.) Do some research, they don't add much to the standard multiplayer modes.
But I would buy Map Pack #2 for the fantastic Zombies mode.

the gewher is an fing amazing auto rifle, no recoil and great range. The rifles all suck until the m1a1 but the bolt action is pwnage once you get down with it.

1. Not really. There is a rifle section and the closest thing to an assult rifle is the STG-44. It does look like a modern assult rifle if that is what you are trying to achieve. It's fully auto too. Unlike what everyone is telling you, the Gewehr is NOT fully auto. It's semi-auto.

2. It depends on the map. I try not to use SMGs on the levels with the tanks, which are the largest levels.

3. STG-44/Kar98k with bandolier, stopping power, second chance, coaxial machine gun

As for the map packs, I bought both only because CoD5 is really the only game I have aside from the Orange Box. The zombie maps are cool, but the multiplayer maps are hit or miss. They didn't include any maps with tanks though, thank god.

STG-44 stopping power and whatever perks you want.

Mosin-Nagant no scope, stopping power, steady aim. It's like a long range shotgun.

I generally use an Arisaka with stopping power. It's a one-hit kill in most scenarios.

In saying that, Call of Duty isn't all that good. At all.

Uderstatement of the century.

1)Not many LMG's in W@W would feel the same as the assault from CoD 4, though in the rifle section you unlock the STG around rank 30, thats got a good rate of fire and pretty good range.
2)Only if you intend on charging headlong into an enemy. The rifles and bolt-actions are better choices for large maps.
3)Dont have a preference, I like to mix it up. Once I finish all the challenges though I usually go with an STG with an apeture sight, stopping power, bandolier, deep impact, and the fast tank reload thing (I forget what its called).
4)Hells yeah, even if its just for the new Nazi Zombie maps.

I just finished the campaign for the first time, and I kid you not every single death bar one or two bansai charges was from grenades.

It doesn't help that your utterly retarded teammates refuse to move out of your way when you're trying to run away from one...
