I think it's really lame of Infinity ward to give the new maps to people for free that waited untill now to buy the game and make everyone that bought it months ago pay ten bucks. It's like they are rewarding people that didn't want to buy their game earlier.

It's gay, but they're trying to create more incentive to buy the game. Not enough of a justification, but I think that's one of the main reasons Infinity Ward did it.

Yea like what Blizzard did with Star Craft, War Craft and Diablo that was a good deal.

Wait, what? The new maps won't be free? They don't come with the next patch?

I liked the good old days where games were what's in the box, and there's only one version. Save the extra content for expansion packs, and save the special editions for when you're just bundling the expansion with the original.
Quoted for truth. I don't like this "pay money for unlocks and extras" and, to a lesser extent, episodic gaming at all. I personally refuse to support greedy stuff like that.

While I do think that people who buy the GOTY version get the maps for free, you have to give IW a break. They're a business, and people shouldn't expect anything else from someone who's doing this for profit. Even if IW have made a kick-ass game.

Well, I like this because it alerts people who have been hiding under a fucking rock that "Lookit meeee! I'm good! Look! Game of the Year! I wouldn't have won that if I wasn't good!"

Capitalism...you put us at odds with communism for centuries, and now you're messing with our video games...

Wait a minute, this isn't anything new! Anytime someone has a chance to make a profit, they'll go for it. If we worked for IW, and there was a possible raise on the line, I'm sure we'd charge too. Their newest plan will give people a reason to buy a several-month-old game and keep its older fanbase around for a little while longer.

I actually sold this game a couple of months ago to a mate because I'd got bored of the old maps. Doh!
