It's not really from CoD4 really but I suppose it could count:
I compulsively reload my gun, or check my remaining ammo, in real life I check programs and processes compulsively and I just have a generally obsessive tick over things like that.

When ever I hear what sounds like a grenade hit the ground, I look around for grenade's to throw back.

In my experience thats a recipe for suicide. Everyone cooks the grenades so you usually don't have much of a chance of finding them before they go off, much less actually throwing them back.

Since I like to use the w1200 shotgun more than any of the other guns, I have this habit of diving for a corner whenever I see someone who is more than 10m away and either doubling around behind them or trying to surprise them at close range when they try to follow.

Related is my habit of waiting for a slight pause in a nade storm at a doorway to storm right through. It often gets me frag naded or stunned and blasted but when it works its SO worth it to gun down those cowardly nade spammers. Alot of the time you even catch them with a grenade in their hand and they can't shoot back. :D

Something about using a shotgun in that game makes you very accepting of the likelihood of your own death. :-/

Ah, but the second you pick them up to throw them, even if they explode in your hand - the enemy dont get the kill. Therefore intentionally picking up a cooked grenade is always preferable to not doing so, its going to kill you anyway, but you can save your team losing 10 points.

I too reload compulsively

I also go prone the instant I am flashed or stunned, and to say, it works more than it fails.

Yeh, reload compulsively. I also run away whenever I hear a grenade, which actually has killed me before (I'd run into the blast-radius).

That is a good point but you but I find that I'm usually fast enough that unless it explodes within a second of hitting the ground (which means you wont have enough time to throw them back anyway) I can get away from it without getting fragged, not to mention you end up trying to throw grenades that were dropped by your teammates either by martyrdom or just primed in hand when they die. If you pick one of those up you take a death you don't have to. I absolutely hate it when my teammates use martyrdom for that very reason. It makes me very nervous and constantly dive for cover when I don't have to.

Online, I will constantly run and check my back every 7 or so seconds. This is just to ensure no-one with a knife is sneaking up behind me. This is a habit I want to kick because no-one uses the knife online (unless two people run into eachother)and so I get shot as soon as I turn. I attained this habit from playing link-up with my cousins, who find immense pleasure in the ole knife. Also, one of the aforementioned cousins was driving through a street which had high level apartments on each side, he reckoned he had to check each balcony for snipers.

I reload after every damn encounter, and it annoys my friend to no end when i do. And when i watch them it hurts me to see a nearly empty clip going into a fight, and when they die, only pain can stop me from commenting smugly.

After some time with CoD4, my eyes get really fidgety. I'm always glancing up, down, right, left, as if I was still playing.

In the game whenever I can't see into a room or hallway I throw a flash in there and carefully go in. Also since I used the M16 I picked up the habit of entering the combat area and permanently staying in scope mod (red dot).

compulsive reloader, almost after every kill. also, every time that I hear a claymore click, I immediately hit sprint and jump, and it works maybe half the time... yea, that noise haunts me.

From fps's in general I have developed the habit of glancing in the corners of every room I enter (in real life). It kinda wierds-out my friends, but they can almost never sneak up on me.

Okay, one is rushing like an idiot to the spot where I just got killed, for some reason it isn't always the smartest thing to do but oh well, reloading right after I kill someone... trying to tone that down though since I often get walkid in on when I'm reloading... dying during my airstrike call-in... Spam nading...
