Alright, so after reformatting my computer I got everything installed and I decided to get my iTunes working again. After installing iTunes and getting everything set up I realized that my computer didn't see my disc drives and it didn't even see my virtual drive. Device Manager said it was Code 19 and I looked it up and it said it was a registry error. I've seen how to fix the problem in RegEdit but here is the pickle...

I've gone through this problem before and did the RegEdit fix but when iTunes starts it says that the drivers for getting music off of a CD is damaged/missing and I wouldn't know what to do afterwards. My dad did the RegEdit fix this time and the computer couldn't boot to Windows so I don't know why it didn't work. So after using a restore point, I uninstalled iTunes rebooted and bam, the discs worked fine with no error.

So I'm just wondering if anyone else using iTunes has experienced this? Google search doesn't bring up correlation in iTunes and Code 19 disc error drives or if there is some way around this.

I've seen just about every strange error windows or itunes can throw at you but never that one. I think you're the first. :p

I suppose you could contact Apple support although I believe they'll charge you for help.

I've searched Apple forums and found the RegEdit fix but doing that caused Windows to be unable to boot so idk what to do. I've got a stack of 20 CDs that need to go into a media player >.<

I have no experience with iTunes what-so-ever, so no straight up solution.

But you could rip your CDs before re-installing iTunes I guess.

I guess no one else has any ideas? I can't wrap my head around the problem.
What's happening after Windows fails to boot? I think I can help you here.
