I sometimes buy a game new when I really want it or feel rich enough and so get the online pass codes. I NEVER play online multiplayer so these codes always sit in box unredeemed.

Now something occurred to me today, why don't I just give these codes away to anyone who bought it pre-owned? Then I thought I'm not the only one in this situation so why don't we about setting up a market place type thread where people say what game codes they offer or want? I guess it'd turn into mostly want, as is the way with the world, but surely some sort of system could be worked out.

What do you guys think of the idea?

The less of the usual droning about pre-owned games being satanic abominations that are bankrupting the poor publishers and how all us consumers should bend over the better. Also I own it, so I can give it away.

Is this even possible or are the codes disc specific?

EDIT: Had a good look and it does appear most are disc specific. Should've known the likes of EA wouldn't miss a way to make sure people have to pay them twice for 1 item.

I don't see why it shouldn't be legal. I bought it but haven't used it. In effect I'm just substituting, someone else can play using what I bought but I can't so it's still 1 person per pass.

ah well then here's a tip: if you want to sell your codes makes sure its below the price on the XBLM or the PSN store thingy. people will take that offer right up.

Well it appears from research that most are specific to your disc's serial no and so non-transferable, but then if you go on eBay there are many for sale so I don't know which is correct.

I also note that many on eBay are by the same seller, they didn't buy the game 20 times so which is it? Game shop worker who steals them or someone selling the same pass 20 times and disappearing?
