Man, I suck at making threads. Hope this works out.

Didn't see anything like this in search. Didja know that a very small percent of our money is actually in print (dollars), not sure about pounds but its probably the same deal. So my question to you, the modern consumer, is this, do you prefer piles of crisp hard bills or lots of zeros (following a 1) on a screen.

There's no feeling like handling wonderful hundred dollar bills in their brown (canadian lol) glory. Seeing "$100" on some computer makes me feel like its not really mine. And that its going to be spent eventually. How about you, escapist, reveal your money loves.

I actually like seeing big numbers on screen. I think it may be to me not really using cash anymore and to being used to buying everything online nowadays.

I try and buy everything with cash. I don't like cards because I feel I have less control. That and I think our(Australian) money is pretty... oh, the colours!

Can't decide, it's a good feeling to be holding a bunch of real money, but it's good to know that you're money is safe on a computer.

I like giant wads of cash, but I'd much prefer 20 $5 notes over a singular $100, it makes me feel richer haha
And I don't do much banking online, so kinda answers that

I feel much richer with the money in my hand. I see £400 on a screen and I think 'oh, thats not much'. On the other hand if my wallet is fat with £20 notes then I feel immensely wealthy.

I do prefer the security of it being locked away in a vault somewhere tho.

No computer will ever compare to the feeling of having a big wad of dough in your hand. I still remember having ?650 in hand when I bought my PS3. Ah memories.

20 $5 bills are a heckuva lot harder to lose than a single hundred. Stuff it in different parts of your body just in case you get jumped somewhere.

Stuff them in your gloves, over the knuckles.

You won't ever feel as awesome as when you are holding several thousand in wads of cash.

However, for practicalities sake I enjoy online money; I can spend it from home, transfer it, invest it in shares and turn it into more money and so on.

You can't argue with progress, though movies showing electronic money transfers simply aren't as cool as cash drops. Ever.

I don't have gloves. The climate's different here. I stuff my money in my socks.

Fortunately, a mob will quickly form when you cause attention when you're being mugged. News items like these almost always ends with the mugger being beaten until he's in prison. Where he'll be beaten again by the other prisoners.

I prefer cash because of the satisfaction and cool factor. Getting a suitcase full of high value bills to it's destination then buying something expensive is well worth it when you open the suitcase (that's full of money) gangster style.

I prefer having the cash in my hand. Otherwise I'm more inclined to just buy loads of crap because I think I have more than I do on my card.

Plus it's quite satisfying to have a huge wad of bills.

Having it virtual is much more convenient for me, and much more secure. That said, I do want to withdraw a physical $100 note sometime. Just so I can have it in my wallet.
