1) Do you like collector's editions or do you find them to be a waste of money?
I like Limited/Collector/Special/Whatthefuckever Editions because you usually get a nice smattering of goodies for the extra $10/$20/$30 compared to the original game. Not all are like this of course, but generally speaking they're usually worth the extra dosh, in my experience at least.

2) What is the best/worst CE you know about and/or own.
Best? I'd say it's a tie between Skyrim, Mortal Kombat, and Blazblue: Calamity Trigger. I think the statue of Alduin was very well done and detailed (be careful when you grab it though, you'll cut yourself), not to mention the huge artbook that came with it and the "Making of" DVD that was packaged along with the game itself. Well worth the $100(US) I'd say.
Mortal Kombat was quite nice. For $100, you got the core game, an art book, vouchers for 2 throwback outfits for the "ninja" (Ermac and Reptile in that particular case if memory serves), a voucher for a "Scorpion suit" for your avatar (as I copped the 360 version), and 2 very lovingly-crafted and detailed bookends featuring Scorpion and Sub-Zero.
The core game stands alone quite nicely, and, fuck everyone else, MK was a finely crafted game from the characters to the story (mostly... at least it made sense for once) to the gameplay itself, even if it was "rebalanced" to hell and back. The game was bursting with content and, I think, was well-deserving of the high marks and awards it received. The artbook, while small in dimensions, also offered lovely artwork as well a glimpse at the creative process as to how the team remade such iconic characters and venues like the Dead Pool, Shang Tsung's courtyard and everyone's favorite, the Pit. All in all, it was a nice bit a swag for a decent price.
For Blazblue: Calamity Trigger, it came with the core game, plus a DVD with a nice load of extras: match videos between top players, and a tutorial DVD that carefully explained the ins and outs of each character so you could use them effectively to increase sodium levels. The LE here also dropped a 2-disc soundtrack featuring character themes, rivalry themes (special songs that played when certain characters fought), and a small collection of remixes made by underground hip-hop producer Oh No [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oh_No_%28musician%29]. The best part? It was all of $50
at launch.
The worst is gonna be Saints Row the Third, definitely. For $100, you got the core game and a pair of SE headphones that let you talk in auto-tune like the resident pimp Zimos. Thing was, the headphones are dick on a hot dog bun, and didn't work unless you did some extra fine-tuning that you had to look for on the website itself since the SE didn't come with the proper instructions. Long and short, I could've gotten just the core game itself and not missed anything.
So there you have it. Hopefully you've learned a little bit about my favorite (and not-so) CEs and maybe even a little bit about yourself.

And am a sucker for art books. Soul Calibur V, Dark Souls, you name it, if it's got an art book, I want it.
Agreed. I shelled out $35(US) for the SE ME Strategy Guide that came with a rather sizable artbook. The strategy guide was okay (especially since it was made by Prima), but the artbook was fantastic. Hell, the artbook alone might've been worth the $35 I dropped on it.
