Also great if you like that pot, granola and dirty hippie smell. Not to mention, because the university funding here in Colorado is terrible, tuition will be going through the roof for all the schools in the state (except DU, which is already stupidly expensive because it's private).

UW is a great school if you want to stay in Washington. The campus is great. But if you're looking to get out of the state, you should really provide more information on what you're looking for. Lots of people come to school in Colorado just to be near the mountains (skiing mostly). Not that that's the best reason to come to a school, but you gotta factor that stuff in.
And I can't believe I let this pass me up, but based on this post and your name...you wouldn't happen to be an Avs fan would ya?

first... you're in washington. Go see System of a Down.

Second... That is all.

I really don't care what school you go to. Just make sure they're listed as decent in the field that you're going into and make the move.

If you want to do math, start right away - but take fewer classes than other majors would. Start with the honor series, if there is one at your school. If you go to an American school, you will probably have completed most of the major by end of second year. If you _really_ love math, think about taking all of the interesting classes in the department or related ones (philosophy). Or take a second major.

If you take my advice, remember the few classes part, please, or you'll be walking into a living hell. When you get the hang of it, you can take one or more extra if you want - you will be able to judge their difficulty by that point.

Math is probably the greatest field, but it can be ruined for you if you approach it in a bad way.
