Combustible Lemons replacing Cake is a lie?

I haven't really got a whole lot to say on this... but it surely seems that way. Do you think that was the intention? To create another meme sorta thing. I'd certainly be proud if everything I made had that effect.

Think Combustible lemons will become as popular? And if so, if it'll grow as tiresome? I don't think it will grow quite as tiresome, since of the context it was in. It was just a hilarious flip out from Cave Johnson (definitely one of the most lovable post-humous characters I've come across), that suddenly just exploded round the net.

Agreed. But admittedly, both Portal games are probably two of the most quotable games ever. You can tell the makers of the game just thought of that line there and then and found it hilarious to enough stick it in.

I was actually gonna say this in my original post That SPAAACE seems to be going the same way, but there's something different about combustible lemons. It's more applicable...

I think one thing is... it was inevitable. I dunno if anybody agrees? I was almost 100% certain people would look for the new "cake is a lie" in Portal 2.

One of the things I hate about Valve games, they create so many stupid and unfunny memes. I don't think they're intentially doing it, but...

Seems that way. For a while I thought it would be "I am a potato", but the lemon thing has really caught on. Which is weird, because it was like the least funny thing Cave Johnson said the whole game.
