I just got back from watching a comedian (not mentioning who to avoid this becoming a 'is this person funny' thread), and I noticed things were a lot funnier because I was actualy there. No BS commercial breaks to ruin the moment, everyone there is there to see the show, all the noise in the background isn't as annoying, and more. To sum it up, the atmosphere was better suited for actually watching stand-up.

simple question; has a comedian you've seen live seem funnier/more entertaining than he/she did on tv?

Let the insantiy begin.

Yeah, he was. I am a big fan of Adam Hills, and having seen him on a number of DVDs, and on TV, I was very impressed. I decided to buy tickets to his show, when he came to Perth, and I have to say, he was a million times better.
So, yeah. They usually are.
