The Hayabusa Katana armour in Halo 3. It would be more fun to use it on spawn campers and aggressive, annoying Amercan kids. (Not saying all American kids are annoying and aggressive, but one I played last night was)

EDIT: Also, the knife on the C.Q.B armour from Halo 3 as well.
Oh man that would be so sweet!

I too found that to be odd. Furthermore, who would need a knife, when you have a chainsaw attached to your assault rifle?

OT: Nathan Hale from Resistance also has a knife, yet never uses it.

The cqb knife would be sexy lol

OT: The crossbow from Assassin's creed, that bugged the HELL out of me the most badass weapon besides the hidden blade and i cannot use it :(

in condemned you can only carry one weapon at a time, so instead of tucking the gun into your trowsers or putting the knife in your left hand and shooting with the right, you have to drop everything just to pick up a 2x4
also there's no way to save ammo from one gun to the next
it ruins the game

Jak in all of his games. He's got those googles, but he only uses them once during the ending cutscene in Jak 3.
He doesnt just use them in the cutscene, if you're out in the desert in a sandstorm he's usually wearing them... not that they make a damn bit of differenct to gameplay xP
also in jack and daxter when you're aiming yellow eco fireballs in fist person he's looking thruogh thw goggles.

anyway on topic... it annoys me how in fable the hero never seems to notice the small knives attached to the leather armour (the same goes for fable 2 with the explores boots

It really bugs me that Ganondorf can't use his sword for anything more than a taunt in the Super Smash Bros. games.

Ryu Hayabusa in Dead Or Alive 4. He has a katana on his back, why use your fists when you can just cut people up! I mean that's what you do in your other game so what's stopping you now?

Freedom fighters later in game he gets a knife attached to his outfit but can't use it and you run out of ammo ofter kinda pissed me off that when you did run out you use a wench... Not the large knife attached to your shirt but the wrench you luge in your back pocket.

if you think about it both would be useless against that advanced armor
Only if you're an idiot and try to stab them in the hard parts. The soft parts are still pretty tough but a solid stab should get through.

Actually I guess a katana wouldn't do to well anyway, it's more of a slashing weapon. Could still be fairly effective against some Covenant foes though (Jackals and Grunts).

Never saw the point of putting that Katana on my Halo 3 Armor if I couldn't use it...

? he wears them when yer in the wasteland to protect his eyes. And it was only in jak 3 they decided they really WERE goggles. I remember before jak 2 came out i read an interview where the lead designer talked about how the team didnt know what (the goggles) were, but that they decided he needed something on his head.

Jak II and Jak 3: Sig has hooks on the toes of his boots, they look incredibly painful.

Valkyria Chronicles: Selvaria always has a sword on her hip, even when she's been captured and relieved of all her other weapons.
You do not question sig's outfit. He will beat you up

The reasoning behind the knife is that Dom was a Commando in the army before the Locust emerged. They didn't have Chainsaw bayonets then and the knife was for close quarters.

As for why they made no mention of that in the game I don't know. It does indeed seem pointless having it now they have an instant death machine attached to the end of their guns.

I think Yoshimitsu in tekken is the prime example, I've never seen anyone underuse a katana so badly.

Yeah there are moves with it, but one of them is to stab himself with it.
