I really liked the standup special of Ricky Gervais (the co-creator of the UK version of The Office).

Eddie Izzard is probably the best comedian out there to date. IMO anyway.
George Carlin has his moments, but one gets tired of him quickly.
The rest are Danish comedians on my part. Most American comedy is a bit too over the top for my taste.
