So i was looking through tiberian twilight and thought i should play the first one instead.
I checked EA and they were giving Tiberian Sun away for free but the download size is 1.2gb.

See as how i have very weak internet i found another copy that was much smaller on a pirating site...

So my question here is,Is it still piracy if i download it from that place to save bandwidth because it's already free.

OR you could buy 'The first Decade', which is the first 12 games, which I found for £8.

Yaaas.

And if that download is smaller, its most likely broken.

What he said.

Go with the EA download. At least then you can be sure you get the full game with no spyware or viruses.

My chances of finding the first decade is very low let alone finding any of the games besides Red Alert 3.
So wish me luck most of the stores i end up finding focus on consoles with the tiny little rack for PC games.

You try buying online?

You can buy... well, anything there.

You see as a thirteen year old i do not have anything i can use to buy online.
In other words my parents would not let me do it.

Then you're pretty much screwed.

So since TFD isn't an option, go for the official download.

Less likely to crash and/or blow up your computer with evil evil viruses.

Uh, you could always go to your local game store and buy it in CD form, y'know.

If you have the choice between 'legit' and 'not so legit' and they're both free always go with legit.

As for the 1.2 gigabyte size, that kind of makes sense to me considering that the game was released on two CD so imagining that each CD was only filled up to 600 megabytes we get...1.2 gigabytes. If I had to take a stab-in-the-dark here I'd bet that most of that is the Full-Motion-Video cut scenes and that the pirate copy probably removed those to save space. Frankly to me at least getting to watch those is half of the charm of playing a Command & Conquer game so I don't see the point of the game without them.

When it comes to buying 'The First Decade', well, as much as I hate to say this I'd go check Wall Mart. They actually have a few good things in the PC section and I do specifically remember seeing the Command & Conquer collection there before.
