Not anymore. Loved it before C&C3, liked it until C&C4, pity the downfall of the series now.

And would everybody plese stop with "am I the only one"?!? It's really getting on my nerves because it's a stupid question, you're never the only one.

What kind of stupid question is that? This is a site with thousands of gamers, I would be surprised if there wasn't any C&C fans. You might as well ask, "Am i the only one that plays games?"

I played a little bit of C&C generals, but RTS was never my thing

You should be able to get C&C, C&C RA and C&C Tiberian Dawn online for free. Look at EA's website.

Still love'em but don't play em anymore. Last one was RA3, too simple. "That was left handed!"

Kirov airship reporting!

Does that make me a fan?
For King and country!

I liked the earlier games, but after Generals they turned to shit. Then again, I've only played the later games on consoles, which are notoriously shit for RTS.

I actually stuck Red Alert 2 on the other day, had a blast fucking people up with my snipers.

I'm really sad at EA whence they got past C&C Zero Hour. They just made the same game, got the graphic prettier instead of spent time creating originality and diversity, and dumbed it down thirty or forty levels. (It's basically a very pretty explosion simulator) I mean, don't get me wrong, they added some things that I liked, but I got the feeling they were falling back into their old hole of producing the game as fast as possible to make as much money as possible.

I have mixed feelings about many of the C&C games.

C&C - Good fun, but painfully hard at times.
Red Alert - Some of my best gaming memories are playing skirmishes on this with a friend via null modem/com cable. The campaign was also nicely balanced apart from the indoor missions.
Tiberian Sun - Fun story, fun units and enjoyable gameplay. I've never really understood the hate this game gets as its one of my favourites. Also, James Earl Jones!
RA2 - Probably the best game of the series. The campaign was great fun and some of the units were great fun.
Generals - I will admit I never really gave this game a chance as I switched it on, saw they changed the build scheme to be more like other startagy games, went WTF is this shit? and un-installed.
C&C3 - Again, I could never see why this got the hate it did. The story was a good continuation of what came before and the units fun to use.
RA3 - Previous games were camp, but played straight. In this they went too far the other way which got annoying after a while. Also, the fact you were forced to play in pseudo co-op with the AI really annoyed me.
C&C4 - I played one mission before giving up. Using the last game of a beloved series to try and shake things up is a REALLY STUPID IDEA!

Excuse me while I install DosBox and reinstall C&C from my original DOS CDs. Now I'll install all the other ones except for Generals and C&C4, then call it a day.

But seriously- I'm a big C&C fan, I still have my DOS CDs and I will until they get lost in a move. I remember being young, getting to the first Commando mission and then being stuck for days, trying to figure out what to do. I remember installing RA1 and nearly shitting myself in excitment when Kane walked on screen. I remember Kane taking over as your commander in the 8th NOD mission. Oh god, what did they do to you C&C?

Everything up until a point was brilliant, and then they brought out Generals, a game that didn't really work as a C&C game because it didn't follow the way C&C played.

When C&C 3 was released, I was excited that after so damn long of waiting, I was gonna play as NOD again in an epic story...but it was different, and didn't feel quite the same, but the cutscenes and Joe Kucan kept me playing. RA3 was...wait...why was Tim Curry playing a Russian?

C&C4...god, I heard that even Kucan didn't like it.
