No mention of control options, can you customize hotkeys?
I played the beta and it wasn't in there, saw no mention that they were going to add it, even asked in their forums and got no reply, i won't play an rts if i can't do camera control with wasd.
Sadly, there is no inherent option for it. You can as of now only choose between grid keys (Hotkey correlates QWERT-ASDF-YXCV position in the UI) or traditional hotkeys (F for panzerFaust, etc.).

In CoH1 you could edit and mod them yourself via modding tools and in theory those files still got the same structure overall. However, there is no .sga packer yet that is needed to pack the modded files back into the game. Relic posted that they are loving mods and currently working on a good solution for them that should arrive "hopefully within a week or two" [http://community.companyofheroes.com/forums/company-of-heroes-2-discussion/topics/Build-9614-dev-mode-no-longer-works?page=3#post-239759] so there might be the possibility to mod them later.

Other than that you can also use an Autohotkey script for WASD camera movement and global rebinds (all F -> E etc.).

I really like CoH2 up to now. I played it a lot during "closed" (everyone got in for a facebook like) and open beta and also played a lot of CoH1. I think they are two of the most interesting RTS/RTT games for anyone interested in playing them in multiplayer and most of the campaign missions are at least entertaining.

Still a bit sad they're doing $60 pricing for a PC exclusive.
I love CoH and I love Relic but $60 is a lot for me to justify right now.
They are selling the game in other countries a lot cheaper. I think the Russian versions are around $30 so I'm sure could get a key from a key reseller for around that if the original price is too much for you. Personally, I never had any problems with such keys before but still: mandatory link [http://unknownworlds.com/blog/beware-shady-key-resellers-and-discount-steam-keys/] + mandatory video [http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Lwo96d_rP1U] to make a choice on whether to buy there or not.

Why in the world would you want this? I can understand wanting to customize hotkeys, but really... Click on the minimap to move your camera around, or double-tap a control group number to just focus on where you need to. Gotta learn to be really reactive with these kinds of things.

AFAIK, the most you can currently do is switch between classic and grid-style hotkeys in the options. Kinda neat, but takes some getting used to.

It's worth every cent mate.

OT: Excellent review, I agree on all fronts that CoH2 is an evolution of CoH rather than a revolution, which honestly is a good thing. They took the great parts of CoH and added some new features that fit the eastern front. Can't ask for more from a dev.

COH2 reminds you why the first one was so damn great.

good review, i think i am going to buy this as soon as i can afford it.
but there is a rather small oversight in the introduction, the first time Relic choose to implement this resource system was in Dawn of War, which, AFAIK, was released before COH1. i may be wrong, everyone feel free to correct me :)

When the original Company of Heroes came out in 2006, it changed a lot of gamer's perceptions of what "real-time strategy" meant. You don't have to put resource-collecting units on the map? That's crazy talk! Of course, COH was incredibly successful precisely because it broke the norm.
No, CoH was successful because it did exactly the same as they'd already done with Dawn of War, but in a much blander setting with far less variety in units.

Good game, enjoying the campaign so far.

Multiplayer needs a bit of work.

Nice to see Relic recover from it's DOW2 garbage.
