I do this alot. But sometimes it leads to situations like this.

" Alright I've died 5 times on this section..." Pulls out Rocket Launcher " I'LL KILL YOU SONS OF BITCHES!"
You avatar copycat! :p

Just noticed you had the same one as mine.

OT:

I barely used the Heavy Weapons in Mass Effect 2 unless I met a big hoard of enemies(those fucking Husks from the derilect Reaper) or a large enemy like the Heavy Mech or the Derilect Reaper's core thingy.

Taking Wild Wasteland and getting the Alien Blaster in New Vegas gives you a super-weapon to fight Lanius with...except it's real easy to forget to bring it along.

I tend do this a lot. In Mass Effect 2 I barely used the special weapons. Whenever I did use them I felt like I was breaking some sort of personal rule lol.
Same. I hated that about Mass Effect 2. Luckily one bullet from the Blackstorm goes a long way .

Never touched the medigel either, now that I think about it.

The goddam expensive Mini-Nukes in fallout 3, anyone..
Well, I almost never use the fatman, but there was a great scene today where I wasn't "in the mood" to use vats again, or waste time with guns that shoot bullets, so I just lobbed a nuke at the last Super Mutant in the place.

Well, the crossbow in HL2. And the rocket launchers of anything.

I get really weird in that way with the Magnum from Half Life 2. I mean, I have bizarrly specific rituals with it (i.e, I use it for this one particular part but no others), but that's it, I hoard its ammo otherwise.

I also seem to have a pile of items (Elixirs, Throwing Weapons, Stat Boosters, etc.) at the end of every RPG. I just don't like using anything I can't immediately get another of.

Mass Effect 2 was one of my worst I think I used the arc projector twice through out the whole thing. Fallout was another bad one, I had so much ammo by the end.

I beat the final boss in Return to Castle Wolfenstein using pretty much just the starter guns. I had full ammo for most of them, so I just circle strafed and held the fire button down until he died.

Haha! I'm saving the fat man on Fallout 3 at the moment.
I've only used it once, but I don't want to use it again. I reckon I'll end up finishing the game having not used it again^^

In Tomb Raider I used to stockpile absurd amounts of ammo for all of the guns and use only the pistols for 90% of the game because I might need the bigger guns later on. Example, on TR2 I don't start using different guns until Floating Islands just incase Bartoli dies too far away to pull out the dagger in time in Dragon's Lair.

I invariably end up with thousands of un-used rounds for guns that probably would've made it alot easier to finish.
