Looking through my game achievement log was depressing me the other day. I love games, a lot, but I don't have a single game that I have gotten 100% of the achievements on. I have some that are very close, I'm missing one in Plants vs. Zombies that I should have gotten really. I also could have all of the ones in Fallout 3 if I had the constitution to play through a 3rd and 4th time being both neutral and a total dick. It just seems that as much as I love a game, I don't get all of the achievements.

In truth I'm not a big achievement whore, sometimes they are just the excuse I have to play through a game again. I just find it weird that for the dozens of games I have played and enjoyed this console generation not a one has all the achievements unlocked.

TL;DR what games do you have all the achievements or trophies for and what significance do you place on them?

uuuhh...none. I don't even look at achievements. I've played thousands upon thousands of games, and I don't even 100% the content most of the time. let alone the achievements.

Some of my friends go for achievements, a lot of them tend to be really obscure, or the most cracked out punch yourself in the groin kind of difficulty that it's just not worth the effort. ..I'm just not that type of person.

I don't really pay attention to them. To me, trying to get all achievements in a game changes an escapist medium into a chore. I just play a game until it stops being fun, even if that means I haven't completed it.

I used to go after achievements until I got burned after one specific one. That one being the Zombie Genocider Master achievement from Deadrising 2. 10 hours of work that resulted in recieving get one PART of an armor set because I obviously hadn't shown enough commitment to be rewarded in full. This was when it first came out and no one knew what the reward was
