I love these one of off comcis. They're pretty funny, but what happened to the story arc we were going through, with the video game characters and all that. They just all... Disappeared. I mean, they aren't even in the background of these more "normal" episodes. I guess it really isn't a bad thing, but I feel like nothing got resolved. She just... Stopped.

Oh whoop de do, so this nonsensical video game humor strip is once again trying to go for a realistic, serious plot arc.

Alright people, which one of you bumped the writers' "M*A*S*H" switch?

Don't you read everything with a gravely Batman voice?
I can't imagine anyone not doing that. You all just read this in the Bat-voice now, didn't you?

What?

No, of course it isn't, what makes you think that?

Explanation? How bout this?

Best thing about that show? It was only like 10 episodes. More anime should learn its lesson in brevity. Looking at you Naruto/Bleach and all others like them.

Is Erin like a real person? Or is she just a character?
Just a character. If anything, she could be loosely based on Cody and Grey's views on video games and day-to-day shit. She's mainly completely fictional, though.

Well shit, guess it was. Wiki does say 25-26. Goes to show how long its been since I've seen it. I need watch that again.

Still in 25 episodes it accomplishes more than others can do with 200 :p

Curious question, really, it has no "right answer". If Erin claims that her complex is more than her friend's, she reveals an inability to accept being "lesser", even if in doing so she belittles herself. If, on the other hand, Erin agrees and states that her friend's complex is worse than hers, she reveals her equal inability to accept inferiority by claiming a (known undeserved) superior station.

Clever girl...

which, incidentally, is the only correct response to that statement (in the correct voice and tone, so as to convey the Jurassic Park reference)... followed by either a blank stare until she tries to argue the point, which is then ignored or dismissed, or a rapid subject change, ideally something about food, or...

Captcha: cats pajamas

...cute animals. Well said, Captcha!

This isn't the complex Erin needs, but it's the complex she deserves.

Does this mark a return to story comics?

Thanks for clearing that up:)

OT: This feels a lot different from last week's strip. Not saying that it's a bad thing though.

How dare you insult our based god #GOAT #somethingstupid #I'mnotevenontwitter Jim Sterling. (totally not a joke)

OT: Reminds me of a time when a guy said I tried to one up everybody all the time. I knew a guy who was much better at doing that.

Well, insulting other gods is kind of what I do.
Don't worry, I'm pretty sure they know I'm just messing around.

It also had a spin off series set in the same universe called "Angel Links", which admittedly wasn't very good.

That said I do have to agree with Ishal's sentiments that some Anime series go on waaaay too long.
