My computer's been getting weird lately. First, it doesn't let me sign into Twitter. I know this is a problem with the computer because I can sign in pretty well in other computers. And it's not my browser because the same thing happens in others. Then a series of other problems started showing up.

1. I can't sign in to Tumblr

2. For a while I couldn't sign into Google(no idea why this stopped)

3. On certain pages of DeviantArt, the page shrinks leaving a big white space on the right side.(this happened before, no idea how it got solved)

4. Blip's videos won't play for me(this happened before, what I did then isn't working now)

5. When using a chat channel, the messages wouldn't show up(I could still post and people would see it, strangely)

I have no idea if these problems are related, but I would like them gone.

Some of the issues may be related, though it's hard to diagnose any of them since there could be multiple causes (some not even on your end). Since they're all browser related I say download CCleaner and clean all of your internet stuff. If you still have any problems report back.

It's a web browser issue. Have you tried clearing the cache in your web browser?

I solved the twitter and tumblr issues by making a new user in my computer. Other problems remain. Should also mention that for some reason, random words become green links that don't go anywhere but show me ads when I put the cursor over it.

Wow, just Googling "random words with green links" brings up some troubling posts online. One Yahoo question had an answer that singled out both 'Browser Plus' [http://whydoeseverythingsuck.com/2008/05/yahoos-new-browserplus-game-changer.html] and 'Livingplay' [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic404648.html], some add-ons that seem like spyware but are in all likelihood just some annoying crap that you didn't want in the first place. So, yeah, spyware.

I would start by searching for Browser Plus and Livingplay in your installed programs list and obliterate them.

I recently installed Ad-Aware after forgetting about it years ago. It seems okay to run concurrent with both Avast! and Comodo. Ad-Aware seems to think that most cookies are bad every time I scan, but it seems to be doing the job right.

Ninja'd. Yep, probably adware of some kind. Those sorts of ads exist on some websites but if you're seeing them in unusual places it should be a red flag. Disable all of your browser addons and see if it stops, though that often won't do it. Definitely do some scans, Malwarebytes is pretty good for removing random guff, as is the previously mentioned ad-aware, at least back when I used it. I recommend Zonealarm or MSE for free real-time protection. Reinstalling your OS will fix it if all else fails.
